Prices for 215/60/R16 tyres

Hi Bros,

I am driving an Honda Odessy and will be send car for servicing soon.

Service center is quoting the following:

 

Goodyear LS 2000 : $150 per pc

Yokohama 501 : $165 per pc

 

Question:

which is a better tyre? and are the prices reasonable?

For 205/60/16, I was quoted:

 

Goodyear LS 2000 : $125 per pc

Yokohama 501 : $135 per pc

 

You can try asking around for the best prices. I think the ES501 would be quieter but the LS 2000 would have the better grip. Both are comfort tires.

Check out prices at tyrepac... cheap shops can usually offer for about 10% less..

based on the available models and prices in tyrepac.. my budget choices would be Kumho ECSTA KH11.. followed by Goodyear LS2000 Hybrid..

which service centre you ask? the last time 2008 they only sell bridgestone when asked for yokohama,and does the price is final price which include GST and nitrogen gas(is not important to me)

In view of the weight of ur ody, i would suggest to look for tyre that offers more grip. Quiet tyre usually offers less grip especially in the wet. Grippier tyre doesn't necessarily meant for cheongster.

Hi bro, if you look at the Sgcarmart website, you can see alot of Odyssey on sale. Prices quoted for 05 models are generally between $50,000-52,000. I don't think too much difference. I paid slightly less than 50k. Frankly I think if I went around to visit more dealers, I could have gotten a lower price, but this dealer offered me quite a good price for my Altis so give and take lor.
