I installed Windows 7 yesterday without hiccups on my Asus A8N mother board. All drivers are in placed and running smoothly. I installed the free OFFICE APPLICATIONS from "http://www.openoffice.org" compatible or equivalent to Microsoft Office and even with advance features. The Words, Excel, Powerpoint, Draw & etc are working perfectly.

Oh yah ... can you try whether are you able to play this game .... Warzone Tower Defense in Facebook?

I tried playing on Firefox on Windows 7 .... the screen just can't load. [bigcry]

For those who want to free up more ram resource, you can disable the Superfetch service.

I got more ram back with negligible speed penalty.

How to disable Superfetch?

eh.. linux need drivers or not? strangely, i have not ever had to deal with drivers since i went mac. but of course, i can't suka suka change stuff in the computer.

haven't managed to stun my wife's laptop to install linux yet [sly]

Generally no need to install. I find hardware compatibility issues to be almost non-existant for windows, osx or linux, only hardware linked software when you get stuff like Nokia PC suit etc. 7's differnt coz not eveyrhing has been ironed out.

LOL did your FF auto-update to 3.5.1? There were a few security and bug fixes.

Supersonic

I download and test drive the Windows 7. It's gui does not appeal to me.

I just spent a couple of minutes moving about, then decide I like the XP better.

So I tried to remove the Windows 7 and it left behind a bootmgr which I had trouble removing.

Finally, I did remove that stupid boot manager totally.
