Supercharged

it depends on you look at it lah!!

my new car also came with free 3A mats. and i used it for 2 years before the driver's mat start to have hole.

but you look at it: you used it for 2 years..... isn't it long enough?

you can't expect mats to last 10 years, right?

since my driver's mat got hole, i bought a new driver's side 3A mat again. and i paid only $20 for it. cut to size.

so you think again..... if this $20 mat can last me for another 2 years, why not???

moreever, this new $20 3A mat i just bought, is better quality than the FOC one from agent. so i would expect it to last just as long or even longer.

Why should i pay $165 for 3M mats, knowing the fact that i will sell the car away in 4-5 years???

Mats are supposed to be thrown away after a period of time. you think 3M mats are very clean after u step on it everyday?

you just take out and flip flip the dirt out..... you think its very clean? the dirts and dust are still deep inside the rubber coils. you used the same mat for 4-5 years, its damm bloody dirty

my thinking is that i used the mat for 2 years, then i will throw away, and get new one.

so buy cheap one, can already......

your house mat, you used for how long?

FAQ for Customised 3M Nomad Carmat with Heel Plate & Gripper Strips

1. What is the difference between standard and superior?

Superior is 13mm thick and there is a limited warranty of 24mths while standard is 10mm thick and warranty is 12mths.

2. What is heel plate and gripper strips?

Heel plate is a reinforced rubber embedded into the mat at the driver side only to prevent wear and tear of the driver side mat due to continuos movement of your heel.

Gripper strips are based below the mat to prevent the mats from slipping or moving.

3. What is Customised 3M carmats and why is it priced higher than other mats?

Customised 3M Nomad carmats are specially tailored to your car. It is bigger and wider than your original carmats but will not exceed the interior layout of your car. It follows the contours of the interior and will be very nicely done.

It is priced higher than other mats because the quality is more superior and our mats comes with special heel plate and gripper strips. You can compare the replica 3M mat in the market and you will straight away notice that although they might look alike, the material is very different and the heel plate the replica mats comes with are just one thin piece of rubber which is not what we offers. You must really compare the difference by putting 3M Nomad and replica mats together. Touch the heel plate and the vinyl coil and you will see the difference.

Other brand of mats with so called 'heel plate'.

4. How long will the mats last?

It will last more than 3 years. I been using mine for 3years and its still like new. My car mileage is already 200K, meaning I drive alot and if I can use for 200K without even a wear and tear on the heel plate, I think your mat will even last longer.

3M Nomad Customised Car Mat Warranty Limited Warranty(conditions apply) - 12 mths for standard mats. 1st 6mths - make good on defect on heel plate, grippers or repair/replace individual piece of mat with coil or backing defect at our option. 6-12mths 50% off current list price of individual piece of replacement mat for defective mat only.

this guy has advertised in several car forums and so far so good. the set i bought from them for my vios, after 1 year liao, if i wash clean clean, u probably won't be able to tell that it's 1 year old. it's almost as good as new except for the edges which have bent/folded cos it took the curvature of the floor. the heel pad is not even worn at all! the stock fabric mats, abt 3 months only the heel pad already pua kang...

at first i was skeptical cos i can't accept spending $135 to step on. but when i finally took the plunge, it turned out to be the "mod" that i have never regretted. there's more to just aesthetics and durability to these coil mats. with these mats, u probably won't have to vacuum the original carpet anymore. when i was on original mats, i have to vacuum the carpet almost every 1 or 2 weeks (when i wash car) cos of all the la sum that spill over from the mats. but for the 1 year that i was with the 3m, i had not vacuum even once.

cleaning is a breeze too. stock mat is mao mao one. all the la sum will stick on it, and it's a PITA to clean. with the 3M, i just shake shake and put back. inside maybe got la sum buried but since i can't see it, it's ok

all set with proper heel pad and grippers and with 1yr warranty, imo $135 is worth the money since i believe it can even outlive ur car. and when u sell car, u probably can still sell it away to recover some money. i swapped for another fella's worn out stock mat just before i sold the vios, and got back $50. so all in all i only spent $80 for the mats. doubt u can get back much or anything for 3A mats...

Here's ur review of 3A carmats

Wah piang Mits_jc, you rubba rubba your mat everyday har? how can a car mat become this state?

I got 3A car mat for a year liao.. the superior quality one, 5 pieces less than 100SGD, still looks good and new. I think depend on individual usage lar. If you just put your legs on it, how will the mat become like that. maybe you scrub ur sole too hard or u scrub the mat too hard when cleaning....

One thing abt 3A though, ask them not to stick velcro underneath the mat cos if you want to remove the mat for cleaning next time, the velcro will actually cause damage to your car mats.

I bot a whole set for my ride and customised ones too. So far the condition is still good and I saved like almost 50% if I were to get the 3M mat.

Quoted 120 for 15mm thick 5 pieces and standard 10mm for boot..

Anyone Reviews & Feedback? Thanks...

3A Carmats

If budget allows would suggest you get the original 3M ones. My dad has a set of 3M car mats, the set is already 10 over years old and condition is still like new.

I am using 3a for my current car, they are given by the SE. I find the material is not as good as 3M ones, but the cutting fits the floor board of my car well. The velcros to hold the carmats in place, just fall out after few rounds of taking in and out. I am using them as a base and have transparent carmats on top, so it should last for a while.

Cheers

I think durability is up to individual usage also.

Millage is one thing, 2nd thing is maybe the kind of shoes/boots u wear. causing more friction?

I using 3A the superior grade one, so far no complains.

Just a bit stained with dirt.

But if difference in price of 3M is $20 i will just buy 3M. but its not for my case. i got $110 for 3piece +boot mat($50). 3M cost about $130 without boot.

3A Carmats

I have a full set that came with the car.

What I like: They are very light (even compared to the other chiong 3M mats).

What I don't like: 6 mths and mine are worn to the base liao (bald patch). My old 3M's (now on the Saab) have lasted 8 years.

If it is really low profit, no one will be doing it. Don't ask me how I know.

Gad, paiseh for the misconception. Hmm, i was the one who paid for the 45 bucks 3A mat, and it was really crap. within 4 months, the drivers side there peel like dunno what like that.

My parents insisted that it still could be used but i couldnt stand the sight of it, so i paid another 100+ for the real 3M ones.

Just to clarify! (:
