Gadgeter 2nd Gear July 12, 2009 Share July 12, 2009 read the news in sunday times. this drama is a flop, despite having top stars, high budget etc. a lot of people say the plot and storyline is copycat and lousy. perhaps zoe tay and fann wong are past their prime. any other factors that you can think of? That's the problem bro, they got no successors . . . nothing to roll out. These days they keep plying these old aunties and ah peks (the so called "experienced actresses/actors) until they are like kiam chye. Look at S.Korea, they are able to churn out newbies so fast, all so talented, beautiful and yan tao. Here ALL CMI one, that's why I've stopped watching local dramas for almost 30 years . . . Rainman 1st Gear July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 I watched one part of an earlier episobe and switch channel immediately, the show was so bad that it gives me an impression (again) that ch 8 makes sucky drama, did they really put in passion in designing the plot or they just treat the viewer like fools? Klinz Neutral Newbie July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 there's always a peak in acting career..like xie shao guang and huang bi ren,they knew there;s no long forever best actor n actress so they rather step dwn n left us with gd memories in their acting skill unlike zoe tay who still struggle in wanting a role in main lead.. I don't think there's any issue with age in acting, look at those lao jiao, Huang Wen Yong, Chen Liping, Zhu Hou Ren, Xiang Yun, Lin Meijiao, etc...all these actors/acteresses, are still as good if not better...I prefer see them act than those new actors...As for Zoe & Fann...one word - No more passion liao...One mummy of two boys and the other getting marry...so no more focus in acting...Saw Zoe performance in the Ultimatum...worse than those newcomers...so fake in acting...CMI...ya the plot can suck...but not acting... Heng i gave up on local drama years ago...... every nite just switch to Channel 55 n enjoy the HK drama. Even those low cost production win local drama hand downs.
