Respect......yes, this is something we have to continue to build and cultivate in our society.

sadly even the basis things are not being done.. e.g in food court or hawker centers where parents are having meals with their kinds. but who are the cleaners? mostly elderlies.

so what impressions does this gives to today's youth? old folks are there to clean up for u, irregardless of the mess they leave behind..

For me, Our family always stack up the plate after our meal in hawker centre.

We will also say thank you to the old folks cleaning our table.

But some are quite irritating , they collect the plate when we are not finish yet [:(]

not too sure as i never dive into it to check on what the schools are teaching but I'm not surprised if someone tell me these lessons are replaced with those memory enhancing or similar classes.

A little food for thought.

I was just thinking to myself if I would mind if someone stepped on my grave.... and I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't. I'm dead afterall. What harm/hurt can they do to me? What use is respect to me?

Then I starting thinking if I would mind if someone stepped on my brother's or dad's grave (well its a hypothetical as they're cremated), and I figured I would because it would be disrespectful to my memory of them.
