I think CM is being penny wise but pound foolish. The adversed publicity is extremely effective.

Of course there will be unreasonable customers like this Ah Tiong, but it's really much cheaper and easier to fix the paintworks, then to fix the damage due to adversed publicity. Just the banner along would have effectively made many would be buyers think twice about buying a Suzuki.

not trying to diagree with you but from CM or any other business perspective, if they have an unreasonable customer whom refuse to share or accept part of the blame but trying to pull a fast one, hoping the company will give in, esp in light of media, then maybe CM have, within their own knowledge reject this.

it's like going to McD to buy happy meal, eat already, not happy, ask for refund.

McD, on their goodwill basis, might give a refund to one, but if the whole world start to pull this stunt, then the business entity will have to stop such goodwill.

back to this story, there's some hearsay, some newspaper coverage but still, no full picture.. maybe owner really trying to pull a fast one or maybe CM just want to protect their principle...

as to the penny wise, pound foolish, it's a risk they took when they gave up talk with the owner..

I don't think so... if CM give this guy spray for free... other people buy Suzuki will also ask to pay for free...

Like that 2 types of companies will close down...

CM <- Closed down due to free spraying services for donkeys who do not know how to take care of their rides

Detailers & paint restoration services -> Closed down due to no need to maintain paint, happy happy ask AD respray can liao...

Anyway, I think can ignore this guys... obviously being a joker... [thumbsdown]

Yes, since the bird s--t damage his car, ah tiong should claim from the bird for respray.. LOL

Example Let's say someone hit and run your car in car park and ran away. your car bumper fall off, you bring your car to AD saying their bumper no good??? does it make sense??? the day the car collect and inspected before drove out of showroom, the bumper was intact ,even your car is only 1 day old??

Who you gonna blame??

Not a very good analogy. What about if you just collected your car and then you and your group of friends are examining it and one of them leans on it and the bumper falls off?

It's all about what the car is supposed to be able to withstand. Most people expect the paint to be decent enough to withstand bird s--t for a period of time. We don't have a photo of the damage here so we cannot really judge if the paint job was bad or not.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be the first one to say this but STOP BEING BIASED. Be more objective, the fact that it is an "ah tiong" doing this shouldn't affect your judgement. Examine the facts , not the person.

Recently... car manuf have move on from oil based paint to the water based paint type in order to be Environmental friendly. The setback is that these paint work may not have the same withstand strength as the oil based type like before..

Even if they re-spray for free, the problem will come back in no time. Then what? Claim to give free rubbish paint job?.. Unless he opt for the new oil based type at the outside workshop.

Forget about bird s--t, driving on highway on high speed(170+km/h), the small insects that hit the bonnet is enough to chip off the paint.

Furthermore, I don't the see the point of kpkb, you buy "peanuts" ride like this ( working class ride like mine ) ... and expect the quality to be like you just bought a Merc or Beemer or Jag type....

These kind of people are are the ones makes our life more difficult.. believe the new car sales contract will now include what defines as defective paintwork.. haiz.

Can't help it, I hate ppl with these kind of attitude!
