Car owner drives to CM to resolve paintwork issue. Complains that the paintwork is coming off and metal is exposed. with odd bumps on the surface. CM inspects it with their service pple and verified that the issue was due to birdshit and some stone chippings. Apparently unable to undo the damage. Offers a respray to owner for 3k ++. Offers discount of like 20%??? discount from the original price. Owner although agrees that the damage was due to birdshit, claims that if the paint was of good quality then the birdshit would NOT have damaged the car permanently. Therefore claims that the paintwork is of inferior quality demands that CM resprays the car for free as it should have been covered under warranty due to reasoning of 'defects in quality'. It is common knowledge that warranties cover manufacturing defects, not problems that arise due to usage. In my opinion, any reasonable person will agree that paintwork corrosion due to birdshit is not a manufacturing defect, but wear and tear due to 'act of god (or bird)'. Heck, birdshit even penetrates PPS coated cars to leave a mark if the s--t was left under the sun to bake. This person is just trying to bully Champion Motors into giving him a free respray. And in my experience from observing others, the fiercer bullies are, the more likely they will get their way. Very sad reflection of the lack of 家教 of these people.
