Hi everyone,

 

I just wanna warn everyone about this workshop called "ACRS". Its located at sin ming drive #03-11 sin ming AutoCare. This workshop is a scam. They claim that they are the cheapest but they are not. how do i know? I've been there and they charged me $150 for a $50 dent removal. Wah..i got so bloody pissed!!!! Later, i found out that my friend who used to work there told me that they will ask people to come down to the workshop so that its "easier" to quote accurately. but in actual fact, they wanna charge higher and promote their insurance and all that. My friend also said that the boss of that place is a pervert!! And he wanted to punch her when she didnt let him touch her. His name is Nixon, i think.

 

They have posted threads in every car forums in singapore with the heading, "panel beating & spray painting specialist"

 

so if u come across this thread, DON'T engage them in any way. Thanks and please pass this around.

i dun really undestand...before u proceed to get the mechanic, dun u confirm prices first?? I see quite a few folks do these and these black listed wkshp will chop chop.

Met uncle Gary last Saturday to get rid of a dent, very reasonable charge. Very nice uncle. He told me don't introduce anymore people to him cos he cannot handle liao....haha.

 

One way to get hold of him is to find out from him which car mart he will be at and then meet him there. On Saturday, in the morning, he was at Commonwealth then West coast car mart, then he went over to Ubi megamart. I met him at Ubi in the late afternoon. Very difficult for him to match our schedules.

When i went to Lye @ AMK to get quote. i was quoted $200+ for removing all my bonnet and driver door dents.

The thing is... the lady say when the dent is remove, can see dotted lines around the dent!?

 

I thought the result will be near to perfection but when i heard this... its like pay to get dent removed but added dotted lines...

I'm in dilemma now whether to go or not...

 

Any one went for PDR and can share your end result?

The thing is... the lady say when the dent is remove, can see dotted lines around the dent!?

 

I thought the result will be near to perfection but when i heard this... its like pay to get dent removed but added dotted lines...

I'm in dilemma now whether to go or not...

Uncle Gary is great.

I had like 10 to 12 dents removed by him, 3 of it were on the roof.

And he charge me $50 only.

That lady is talking crap. I personally went down to have a quotation to on a 10cm dent and bonnet dent, there is this Lady Vivian quoted me, $60 and $20 respectively and she told me all can be done within an hour, she was very positive. Another day I went down, it was another lady, which is the one who told me about long dents repaired will have dotted lines, if can't repair have to panel beating and spray paint and this lady quotation me the two same area for $80 and $30 respectively and needs 3 hours.

 

So I told her that few days ago, a lady Vivian quoted me cheaper, so after hearing this, the lady couldn't quote me more. Both dents were done within an hour by Uncle Lye. I must say, very good workmanship. In the end, saves me from panel beating and spray painting.

 

Go ahead to Lye Design, but be aware of the lady talking crap, I believe she is the lady boss.
