I guess so....bikes are after all much lighter, power-to-weight for 2B bikes are no fight for a normal car.

normal 2B bikes as in 4 strokes bike would be slower or comparable to family ('level') cars - your 1l to 1.6l cars.

2B bikes that are 2 strokes might be faster if revved hard.

once it's 2A bikes and above cars have no fight at all.

Is any normal 2B bike's 0-100km/h acceleration faster then a normal car?

For 2 stroke bike .... yes .... for 4 stroke bike .... maybe ... maybe not.

My 4-stroker can outaccelerate most cars, but once it reachers 3rd gear at 60km/h it loses steam. So yea, in the long run cars seem to win.

Yawn....

almost any normal 2B bike pickup (0 - 100kmh) is faster than normal family saloon.

a typical Class 2B bike (200cc or less) will out accelerate a normal 1.6L sedan until 60kph then it totally runs out of steam...most usually max out at 120kph...so imagine the climb from 80kph!!

Class 2A bike (201cc-400cc) such as CB400 is darn powerful...the VTEC engine pulls strongly until 180kph...that's when the rider cannot take the wind blast on the helmet, chest, leg and hands...

Class 2 bike needless to say...

Turbocharged

largely depends on the weight of the rider.

You mean like this?

we're not talking extremes here.

say average adult male of 65 to 75kg

no problem outgunning normal saloon cars.

again, comparison must be stock engine on stock engine otherwise no point comparing

Neutral Newbie

Hello

Transportation Alternatives held its 7th annual Commuter Challenge pitting cyclist, driver, and bus/subway rider in the ultimate showdown of which mode of travel can be quickest (and cheapest!)

In the end, the bike proved swiftest over the 4.5 mile course which began in Brooklyn's Fort Greene and ended in Manhattan's Union Square. Jamie Favaro rolled up in just over 16 minutes and took home the gold and a bouquet of flowers for her efforts. Driver, Emmanuel Fuentebella (22 minutes) parked his car and sprinted to a surprise second place finish. Shortly after, disappointed MTA rider April Greene came in last at 29 minutes. But, as Wiley Novell noted at the finish line, Transportation Alternatives also measured the carbon footprint of all the the riders and Greene came in a close second behind the cyclist.

Several clas 2B compact sportbike like the stock Yamaha YZF125R Fi sprint is almost on par with 2 stroker Aprilia RS125.For 0-75kmh the bike sure can outrun any NA 1.6cc car n below but after that the car can say bye2 to the bike. But the bike got a top speed of 150-160kmh in stock. So for a 1.6cc car above 140kmh can wave good bye to the bike already. The most strongest is of course bike from 600cc above not to mention their 0-100kmh time.Stock Yamaha YZF R6 can easily do from nought to hundred in less than 3.5s [lipsrsealed]
