Try the above link to see where and when you are going HK. After you selected the hotel, just call the Hotel directly and book. Save you some money instead going thru the link. The link is just for information only. (hee hee)

What is your budget?

I recently stayed in CASA HOTEL. So so only. Bathroom is really small, room is really small....let me see whether I can upload some photo of the place.

last visit tried this hotel in kowloon.

+ near mtr station, next street night market, near harbour(walking distance)

- rooms small, no window view, breakfast can get by(better than army)

overall price is good!

Evergreen Hotel Hong Kong

Hotel Address : 48 Woo Sung Street, Yau Ma Tei Kowloon, Hong Kong. (MTR Jordan Station Exit A)

Location : Mongkok / Yau Ma Tei

I stayed there around 7 years ago...it was already pretty run-down then LOL but cheap i agree, and location not bad, for tourists.

Good hostels are not cheap either. If triple sharing, go for a hotel room. For hotel try Dorsett hotel.

When I am in Hong Kong sometime in Oct 2008, I am staying in Dragon Hostel. The room is clean equipped with a small CRT tv, and with attached bathroom. My friend just went in April 2009, he is staying Artland Mongkok hostel. The room is clean equipped with LCD tv, and with attached bathroom. Comparison between Dragon and Artland, Dragon is abit old but have alot of good feedbacks if you google on Dragon hostel. As for Artland, is quite newly furnish and the staff are quite friendly.

Hope this information helps.

Cheers

Evergreen hotel is too run down, though the location is near temple street night market.

Casa hotel is too tiny and toilet is even worse - airconditioners are noisy there in quite a number of rooms. If you complaint, nothing much will be done. Otherwise, location is very good, near to mtr.

If you booked earlier and not in peak season, you can sometimes get good rates. I suggest Dorsett seaview, Mayfair, Stanford and other similar rates hotels as they are near mtr and good locations for food/shopping, etc. You can consider rooms in central where u can enjoy shoppings and nightspot there. You might get some discount from direct hotel rates or try certain hotel sites to compare.

My last stay was at L Hotel Causeway Bay, Tin Hau MTR is just opposite the hotel, one station to Causeway Bay. Rooms are decent sized. Would stay there again on my next visit to HK.

wow alot of reviews but maybe you guys can postly the nightly rates also? would be great for comparison.

A quick google, you will able get the rates. Rates is pegged to months. I love looking at asiarooms for quick comparison on rates.

I do like try JJ hotel at central side (Admiralty mtr). But now I managed to get a better priced hotel.
