So?..how many of these peasants can caused a shift in the votes? Hardly enought to make up to 40%...and mind you, they have a way to set the game plan, that even if the actual number against versa the total number, have a slight chance to hit 50.01% , the rules and the game plan will dilute this to no more than 40%.. Apvman 2nd Gear December 23, 2009 Share December 23, 2009 The government have to fine tune the "open door" policy. Taking in FTs are not the way to solve the problem cause they are here temporary. Majority of them will leave once SG goes down the drain. How many of them are actually loyal to SG? Never hear the saying: "Big TREE goes down, Monkeys Run to another tree". Same for FTs. The solution will be to solve the birth rate of SG couples... As compared to other developed countries on the benefits of having more babies, SG is just still not doing enough. I wonder since government is so smart, why cant they think of that?

Don't try to draw me into a quarrel with a low life like you. If you can't take the truth then go hide in some cave ...doubt in Sinkie got cave anyway. One word of advice, which I don't think is even worth giving to you...but since Christmas is near, thought I'll be charitable to ppl like you for once... And this is to make a sincere effort to 'like your own rulers' a top priority resolution for your coming New Year and maybe you will fare better in life then to keep blaming them for your 'unhappiness' in your life. Drumstick Clutched December 23, 2009 Share December 23, 2009 Hrmm... from the link, they stated that there might not be enough people to fill in the post of the less desired post. Then...what about those post which people desire more? Why not just fill those unwanted post with FT and desired post with the locals. Gahment blaming locals not making enuff babies, and also not working hard enough. How to work hard when chances and opportunity are given to FT. Should set a benchmark for it. Especially in white collar jobs or mid to high professions. Judging from how things are going, wont be surprise that alot of locals may not be giving the lightning party a vote. There are many locals who have the urge to push higher and climb higher but chances and opportunity not given. Take for e.g. IT security admin in a bank. Can you imagine, xxxxxxxx operating in Sg, can have more than 80 IT security experts comprising of 90% Indian nationals. Paid an average 3.5 - 7k a mth. Working on shiftwork and on standby for emergency. Qalifications and knowledge, alot of locals grads in IT after 2 - 4 yrs of experience is more than sufficient but lost out to the FT just because of the misery 0.5 - 1.5k pay difference?!?! By being deprive of a chance or opportunity, it will lead to a chain of event till the next generation. Like e.g. Father do not have a chance to secure a good pay job therefore unable to provide better education in future for the son because not enuff $$ to send the son to Uni or cannot secure study loans. Grant also hard to get. In the end it will deprive the next generation who are able to study from obtaining better qualification cert and so on. or both parents slogging out in their job, in the end deprive on the time needed to take care their kids, without proper guidiance, kids go on the wrong path. Like what I am seeing the youngster nowadays, no 1 to guide them properly, every month the parents just pass them allowance and let them roam around freely resulting in doing all sorts of nonsense things. Just my thoughts.....
Windwaver Turbocharged December 23, 2009 Share December 23, 2009 http://sg.news.yahoo.com/cna/20091222/tap-...ba-231650b.html so.. e garmen is aware that strong voices are coming from the ground on the FT issues.. the power of online forums? Frankly speaking, I don't really mind those FTs that are really willing to root themselves here just like all our forefathers. The problem comes about when FTs come here just for the sake of scraping as much $$ as possible before returning home; irregardless of how well our policies are. Now the REAL PROBLEM is, many of the FTs have no intention of turning Singaporeans.

They r smart, but they r even more Ngeow, so anything that gonna cost them is out Bring in FT, immediate increase in tax revenue and immediate productivity, vs give more maternity/childcare benifits

Just my thoughts..... When your manager is FT, plus your peers are FT, you wont want to work hard cos no chance for you to be promoted over your FT peers, work how hard perform how well also wont change your skin colour to be same as the FTs. 15 years ago I really cannot imagine that in Singapore today, the citizens in their own country are being marginalized and discriminated by their FT bosses ↡ Advertisement
