Friendstar Supercharged January 16, 2010 Share January 16, 2010 Seriously all look ugly. the coupe looks like a good attempt. but the whole design is messy
Friendstar Supercharged January 16, 2010 Share January 16, 2010 have u all realized that the headlights of china cars always get SUPER yellowish? even though its a SJ car plate
Stary Turbocharged January 16, 2010 Share January 16, 2010 actually the design ok what...... The panda car really look like a Panda. Quite cute....although it looks ugly. If the coupe sells here for 40k, I wouldn't mind one...:p

Introz Clutched January 18, 2010 Share January 18, 2010 the coupe looks like proton gen2 only with different mirror holder while the panda looks like mazda2 only with different big headlights but then is the quality good or not? can agree more with starry .. if the coupe worth 40k and good quality.. i wont mind have one
Ken4555 1st Gear January 18, 2010 Share January 18, 2010 (edited) i think the coupe looks nice... and i read some where that chery's engine technology has european brains behind it.. so its like supposed to be quite ok... the way i look at cheap china malaysian cars... about how lousy they are... to really think bout it... who are the ppl who buy china cars? PPL ON BUDGETS....... so it is very obvious that these ppl spend as little as they can on the car... unlike another person who has more $ to buy a more expensive car and ALSO have more $ to better service the car... so the logic is this... make any sense? Forgot2bme Clutched January 18, 2010 Share January 18, 2010 hmm.. it'll take some time for china cars to be accepted... so far japanese cars are still known for reliability! most impt for a mechanical vehicle i think!
Antlau 1st Gear January 18, 2010 Share January 18, 2010 Actually, come to think of it.... Jap cars in the 70s also not being known as reliable (cos unknown and new)....thus during then, they were sold cheaply, and continued to improve. Now they are known as reliable, but now sold more expensively... So the stage of the China cars is the same as that of Jap cars maybe during the 80s (cos the rate of copying also gotten faster mah)...maybe now it is time to try China cars (leap of faith?) or wait another 2/3 years time when the reliability factor is more ascertained. But by then, the price of the China cars will not be that cheap liao...and we look to ---> India cars? hahaha... :))

IIRC I think they are the ones who bought Rover (some models use the BMW engine). Volvo got bought over by some Chinese company as well.
