Car pulls seriously left ....

Hi bros,

 

Need some advice. My car pulls left the moment I let go the steering wheel. It bad enough that within 1 lamp post length, half my car in another lane already. Its not the usual subtle left drifting that occurs on roads crown to the left due to drainage runoffs.

 

In order to travel straight, the 12o'clock position on my steering wheel is pointing at 1o'clock position (around 1 inch to the right).

 

Went to see Kenny but not able to rectify.

 

Anyone else got further advise?

Rotate your front tyres.,,,meaning left goes to right.

Should tire be rotated only or rims also?

 

i.e. take out right tire+rim , flip the tire , put back onto same rim , but fix to left side. Mines Eagle 1 - uni-directional.

 

Or rims should remain on their respective side, remove right tire, flip and put to the left rim?

you just changed tyres?

 

Tire and alignment done 5,000km ago. Car was straight and great to drive. No changes since until 1 week ago it suddenly decided to pull left, requiring serious goo-lat (cow strength) to hold it straight.

Go do an alignment. Camber may be out also.

Hi bro, I went to Kenny. He said it something that alignment - toe, camber cannot resolve. [rolleyes]

Just rotate it with the rims together....Since it is uni-directional, no choice but to switch from from front to back.

 

I'm getting the rubbers rotated left <--> right.

 

i.e. take out right tire+rim , flip the tire , put back onto same rim , but fix to left side.

 

Hopefully something works out...

Go to shop that has side slip tester which can test the side pulling of the both wheel forces. Most likely you may have a loose ball joint or the wheel toe angle need some adjustments so as to counteract the wheel camber angle excessive rotating forces

If it still dont work out...u need a proper wheel alignment. You mentioned Kenny checked for you but did he provide you

with the print out of the alignment done ? If you need another 4 wheel alignment, there is 1 at Ang Mo Kio Ind park 1

Just to make myself clear, I went to see Kenny and told him the issue. He said its most likely a tire issue and not a wheel alignment (Camber / Toe issue).

 

Upon Kenny's advice, went to rotate my front tires - left <--> right (Its uni-dir so had to remove from rims). And now car tracks straight even with hands off the steering. Happy man now. :)

 

Hopefully issue don't recur so soon
