thats what i feel also. 17" will totally kill ur FC and maybe performance. but i think its quite hard to find 16" 5x100 haii

 

as in the polo isnt a very powerful car to begin with so yea, 17" will kill the performance..

 

can try the bigger tyre shops. wider selection. its a matter of spend alot or not.

Hmm...Perhaps I should just save the $$ and upgrade the HU.

i guess just change the rubber enough unless u're lucky to get the continental ones. if not i say change them!

I upgraded to 17" rim (some taiwanese brand cheap and light) but low profile (only 40). Upgraded HU to WD6050 also.

Not so sure abt FC impact since i changed it the moment i collected my vehicle. My rim is 205/40/R17 (will take photo if have time). Best FC so far is 14km/l but I am quite a heavy footer. usually 1st 4 gears shift at around 2.3k rpm. Now and then will lut in sports mode till 5k rpm. Hardly use MT since it is a pain to shift from 1 to 7.

wah??! with 17" u still can get 14km/l? not bad not bad.. waiting for you pics :)
