David Clutched January 30, 2010 Share January 30, 2010 Before the 60's, pepole would shun japanese products because of quality product. It took them decades to built up the standard to where market to placed them at the top. The problem with today I believe is outsourcing without adequate supervising. Car_driver Neutral Newbie January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 I find the people here very funny.... It seems like most responses are positive, some even praising the recalls. I wonder what the responses will be if the recent recalls by Honda & Toyota are instead made by Merc/BMW/Audi....
Kb27 Supersonic January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 I find the people here very funny.... It seems like most responses are positive, some even praising the recalls. I wonder what the responses will be if the recent recalls by Honda & Toyota are instead made by Merc/BMW/Audi.... Peugeot has made a recall. They had the same supplier as Toyota for the pedal problem. So anybody praising Peugeot recall ? A bad product is a bad product. A recall is necessary and mandatory. A recall is a recall, whatever the make. There's nothing to be praised about.
Levinx 3rd Gear January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 Will the honda freed be affected? Seems like this affects only the 2002-2004 produced Fit/Jazz.. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1034235/1/.html

Mugen85 1st Gear January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 at least the company is socially respondsible and made the recall. some companies just keep quiet. furthermore, when was the last time u heard toyota and honda recalling their cars? i bet u cant even remember it. For honda case, i think it is not as serious as compared to toyota case. 2002-2004. this cars are 6-8yrs old by now. Till now, no incidents on honda have been reported. Mechwarrior Neutral Newbie January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 LOL... it's just a switch issue. Moral of the story? LMAO... at least ppl are honest and look into the smallest of faults. Much better dan manufacturers who keep mum about it and charge customers high prices for the faulty parts. Moral of this story? LOL... I read the papers. The Switch issue in the fit model caused a fire in South Africa. A 2 year old toddler sleeping in the car died. Thats why they are taking action. I wonder what the responses will be if the recent recalls by Honda & Toyota are instead made by Merc/BMW/Audi.... i believe the response will be very negative if korea, china manufacturer kenna. this kind of things got two responses, you can either praise or condamn. And ppl here will choose one out of these two depends on the makes.

Till now, no incidents on honda have been reported. i believe even honda and toyota have been keeping quiet for whatever problems they had throughout all these years. just that recently, the cases towards them was very serious. thats why they have no choice but to admit own problem and exercise recall. i do not side any car makes. i believe cars sure got problem every here and there. but funny to see ppl praise certain cars when they seems like not problem, praise those cars again when they have big "AxS" to handle. but condemn certain cars when they seems to be no problem. and condemn these certain cars when a minor minor issue pop out. i just dont understand the mentality of ppl here. Wishcumstrue 6th Gear January 31, 2010 Share January 31, 2010 i believe even honda and toyota have been keeping quiet for whatever problems they had throughout all these years. Unless you have solid proof, please becareful with your statement. All automakers are legally required to report any findings or complain received from owners to authority. If Toyota or Honda wants have reputation like Mitsubishi had in the 2000 scandal, they certainly will be punished.
