Hi guys, I noticed there are many drivers who never turn on their headlamp at all as there are backlit in their meter gauge and DayLight, I have encounter 2 vehicles on the same day. Guess that is the basic when you drive on the road and what was taught when you went to learn driving, just don't understand why drivers can forget to turn on headlamp.

recently i noticed my headlights turn yellowish. the clear plastic cover the light bulb... looks like stain. i saw some of the cars with such condition too. anyone can advise how to remove the stain?

I did a search, yep! So are there a unique breed, which gravitate to them? Psychologically speaking, there are such syndromes, eg back in the 80-90s, there was a "Honda Driver Syndrome", and insurance companies used to load these drivers since they were more likely to take risks and such.. So here goes, are there reasons for this style of driving? Oh and some pics to accompany the story.. (caveat, all in jest bros, will still have kopi with my BMW friends )

Take noted. If you have F&N magnolia fresh milk 1L pack, with label use by "01 MAR 19, 03:51", go do a heat up test before giving it to your children. I bought 3 packs from Sheng Siong Jalan bahar last week. This morning when I heated up a glass in the microwave, it turned tau huay, and this is from the same pack with no issue yesterday morning. I opened up a new pack and same thing happened, the last pack also same after heating up. Thinking that it may be my microwave, I tried heating over the stove, and tau huay was made again. The temp of the fridge is the same and the fridge is not fill up, the only thing added was some drinks (we didnt stock up much food this year). I googled and the return was not very positive, and so i wrote an email to F&N this morning asking them to look into the batch. Meanwhile, those who have this batch of milk, take note. However they look, smell and taste quite normal when chill, but I am still not going to consume them. Now have to go pick up some new stock liao, not from the same brand tho.

Hi bros, i made an illegal u turn this morning at Seah Im there. when completing the turn... i saw 2 white ants slightly in front of the bus stop there, with clipboards... Likely they catching bus lane offenders... do you think they will take down my car plate no. for the illegal u-turn ?? i think its a $70 dollar fine right ? any demerit pts ?

Everyone knows how annoying it is to have somebody behind you with his high beam on. It blinds you, forcing you to focus your attention elsewhere especially when traffic is at a stop. When its dark, it screws your night vision, especially if you need to check your side mirrors to filter. This evening around 6+, as i was reaching home, one car came up behind me with his high beam on. We stopped at a red light, and i decided to try something. I flicked off my lights (it was before 7pm, i only had position + tail lights on, so it was only one flick) and back on. To my surprise, it immediately registered with the driver behind what i meant, and he turned off his high beam. Guess he prolly didnt realise he had high beam on, since there are still a fair amount of daylight left. So i just gave a friendly wave to say thanks. I donno if this trick has been used successfully by others before. It was i think my 3rd or 4th time trying it and it worked for the first time. Hopefully others can see if it works for them. But a few safety tips a) Dont try this when both yourself and the car behind are in motion! If you totally switch off your lights in the dark, the car behind will be wondering what you are doing, and so will the cars in front and beside you. This will only create a more dangerous hazard. Only try this at a perfect stop (i.e. junction red light) or really slow moving traffic. b) This will apply more for cases where the driver behind may not be aware that his high beam is on. Some drivers for example do not own the car they are driving at the moment (family car, rental), so they may not realise it. In my case, he came out out of a carpark while there was still a bit of light, so he may have started his journey not knowing his high beam was on. c) If the driver responds and realises what you are trying to signal, give a friendly wave. This ensures it will register in his mind to check to make sure his headbeam isnt on when he switches on his headlights.

Dear all, In view of the increasing number of accidents at traffic-light junctions where vehicles have hit and killed crossing pedestrians, I will be writing to LTA to propose changing the right-turn signalling sequence at all traffic-light junctions with pedestrian crossings. Presently many traffic-light right-turn signalling works by allowing the pedestrians to cross the roads simultaneously as vehicles turn right across their paths. This method theoretically reduces the overall waiting time for everyone in the system because it allows right-turning motorists to utilise pockets of time to go-ahead whenever there are no crossing pedestrians. However, due to fatigue, carelessness, blind-spots and other reasons, there have been many instances of pedestrians getting run over by right-turning vehicles. Many of such accidents involve larger vehicles which, due to their size and larger blind-spots, are harder to control. I would like to propose that the right-turning signalling be changed at such junctions so that right-turning vehicles cannot proceed to do so until the traffic lights have turned red for the crossing pedestrians. While this cannot totally eradicate similar accidents that arise due to jay-walking pedestrians, it will likely reduce the overall accident rates given that most pedestrians do obey the traffic crossing signals. Through this petition I hope LTA will treat this issue with greater urgency and have it implemented sooner than later before more innocent lives are lost. Jan 7, 2011 Thaipusam set to turn down volume By Yen Feng Following new guidelines issued by the Hindu Endowments Board (HEB), participants with piercings cannot hang or pull objects, such as coconuts or framed photographs, from their bodies. -- ST PHOTO THIS year's Thaipusam celebrations will be a quieter affair if guidelines made public for the first time on Thursday by the Hindu Endowments Board (HEB) are enforced. Those participating in the procession on Jan 19 and 20 are barred from playing recorded music or sounding gongs or drums. Traditionally, the music - often played at a deafening volume - is seen as encouragement for those who pierce their bodies as an act of faith. Now, only the singing of hymns will be permitted. Other rules include no shouting, and no paint or makeup to be used on either the devotees' faces or bodies. Those who flout the rules may be barred from future processions - or face a fine of up to $5,000 under the Public Order Act. And for the first time, spike or chariot kavadi bearers are required to nominate a representative who will be responsible for their conduct. The HEB said the rules mirrored guidelines set by the police for permits to hold Thaipusam celebrations. But they were put together for the first time this year for the public to address long-standing issues of crowd and noise control, officials from the two temples organising the procession said. Hi Guy if you look at google map, check out the SPC petrol along west coast and pasi panjang CC line, the exit out of this petrol station is in transit zone . If the traffic turns red.. can you tcome out of the station and turn left? thanks

Yesterday was in a bad mood due to CO being *ahem* un-cooperative in the morning as we need to rush down to Changi by 9am. Later, I was at Tampines Mall with CO and after shopping there, she wanted to go Ikea Tampines. Being new to that area in Eastern part of Singapore, I look up Google map and memorized the direction given. Drove out Tampines Mall and supposed to drive along to avenue 9 then 12 before heading to TPE but ended up turning left somewhere and drove straight into Tampines Bus Interchange. Was finding it strange at first when I noticed people queuing up orderly and buses everywhere. Then it struck me! "Shiiit! I'm in the bus interchange! HOLY MOLY!" I yelled. Soon a couple of buses started to turn in and the first driver wad stunned like vegetable. We started looking at each other...loss for words. I waved an apologetic gesture and he waved back, pointing ahead and waved right. Took off and managed to drive out. Ehhhh . . . the question is, any bro out there did this stunt before and will I get a warning letter or what? Should have taken public transport yesterday, damn moody and not being my usual self. Usually 3 lanes turn right to 3/4/5 lanes will have dotted lines so can follow, but 2 lanes turn right to 2/3 lanes seldom there's dotted lines. Most of the time, if I'm the first car, I use the "waiting to turn right area" to gauge imaginary dotted lines to which lanes it's heading towards, then just zoom off when I can, to avoid any incidents. If there are a lots of car, I'll just follow the cars in front.. some times most right lanes turn right to lane 1, sometimes they turn to lane 2. But which is the correct one? -- Initially I thought that's what a user-submitted video is complaining, then I'm wondering if the taxi did turn to the wrong lane, but after watching multiple times, he's complaining about how the taxi cuts into the first lane as it turns. The video also shows an instance of 2 lanes right turn to 3 lanes.

My aircon circulation will turn off by itself at times. When weather is cooler like rainy days, it will keep turning off even i turn it on and it will turn off by itself 5 mins later. Anyone experience same?

If I am turning left (from a small road) into main road, while car on opposite road is making u-turn onto the same main road, who should give way ? Does it matter if U-turn point is before, at or after the Left turn point ? I was thinking that whether if you have just crossed the last blinking arrow for right turning is it considered as beating red light? Example in this video: https://youtu.be/hMc8PpwV2gM This area has no red light camera, however I'm curious and I want to clear my doubt. Usually when you guys see blinking arrow, would you all still turn?
