Chiangauto Clutched May 12, 2010 Share May 12, 2010 Ways of removing Water Marks from glasses. 1. Claying 2. Vinegar wipe 3. Soft 99 Glass Compound 4. Autoglym Glass Polish 5. Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner Polish (M83) Another vinegar trick to remove water spots. 1. Keep on wetting the glass with vinegar to keep it wet for 1/2 hour. 2. While it is wet, soak a 0000 steel wool with more vinegar and rub the problem area. Rinse with water and inspect. 0000 steel wool is extremely fine and available from Ace Hardware. Harmless if used as explained above. Definitely will not scratch. I know it sounds drastic. But it solved my water mark problem many years ago.
