Is the driver able to call back to confirm pick up location?

Yes he did. But I think it was an IDD call for him.

But there is a message function which you can use to confirm that the GPS location is correct or you would be late etc. ..In these cases, he is unlikely to need to call you back.

Still the same...plenty of taxis there.

I was there last week. Its summer and hot. I got sunburned, but nonetheless, the scenery is still breathtaking.

Great to hear that plenty of taxis. Scenery, beautiful in winter... white surrounding with blue clear water.

Great.. can keep open for future plan.

I just return back from Shanghai and Hangzhou for 2 weeks. It is impossible to flag a taxi on the street already.

Very few on the street and most need booking.

Like here, people are taking didi which is our Grab. But I don't have a local phone number so not able to registered.

Anyway, in Shanghai traveling by train is the most easy and fastest. No need to worry of traffic jammed.

Just download the Baidu map will do.

U can register DIDI with SG mobile...

How about payment?

Like Wechat, need to have China related bank account to link for payment. Singapore CC cannot.

We are using friends bank account to link, add in credit and transfer money to them.

I used Didi throughout my stay China in 4 cities. I registered with my SG number. No issues.

How did you do that? Couldn’t register for me. Damn inconvenient.  Can only ask the hotel to get a cab for me.

For folks that can still walk freely, good to visit such places that are not easily accessible. Once you have mobility challenges, then shopping centres are the place to visit liao
