Same thoughts here, fiddled with the Galaxy and it's kind of laggy . . 2-3 secs before apps launch

 

Getting mine tomorrow . . . have to place order for this

 

Wanted HTC Desire but Galaxy S seems better.

I am using Legend but seldom got the same trouble as Galaxy. And Legend has a slower 600MHz processor. But a bro here mentioned that it could be a RAM issue.

 

Anyway, the only thing I don't like about the Legend is that when you want to type in landscape, it takes some time for the screen to tilt. If I were you, I would get the Desire. But that's on hindsight. But I find the Legend more chio than the Desire.

The dealer also offer this kind of service, I did that last year, but the price may not be as attractive if you source for yourself.

It depends very much on the plan that you're re-contracting.

 

My wife just had hers re-contracted with the person paying her.

 

The most basic plan... think you get about $260. These go-betweens will pay you the $$$, then they will also pay whatever additional for the phone from the telco. They will have the phone box un-opened and bring it direct to a dealer who will take it off them.

 

Unless you want to buy the phone and have it un-opened, then try to sell it off on your own. This will fetch you slightly more but more hassles of dealing with troublesome individuals.

I suggest you read the Galazxy manual if you are new to the Android OS. Saves you a lot of headache.

yesterday i googled this and there was one website, i think by dealer.......

 

then i called the person

 

they say if sign starhub line, they give $250 but if M1 line, $150

 

this is not inclusive of the $100 jump over from singtel fee which m1 and starhub provides......

not in Singapore unless you root the phone. Start from page 1 of this thread and read through.

 

There is also another thread about rooting the phone by Genie. You can search for it. I can't remember already.
