I've only used FK452 out of this 3 options.

Wet : 7.5/10

Dry : 8/0

Noise : 5/10

Tire wear : 7/10

Price : 6/10

Beware of Eagle F1. My friend's all 4 tyres sidewall crack under normal driving. He made posting in Audi after the tyre shop gave him BS excuses. "Your sidewall crack because you running on -ve camber...."

I am using Conti Sports Contact 2 (got at a discount back then) same size as yours...but if I were to pay for the full price for this tyre...i would not wanna pay. Its a good tyre...but overpriced. For that price...same grip and performance...I go for Bridgestone RE01R (now replaced by RE-11)

I am using Continental CSC3 but it is quite pricey but nonetheless very grippy esp wet days. My next tyre would be Eagle F1 Asy. Yes there are quite a bit of complaints about cracks but it does not affect all sizes. The size you are looking at might not be affected but need to check though. Despite that it is still a good tyre. AD08 and Re-11 are the next good choices but it is not under your shortlisted.

not sure about the others but have tried FK452 specifically - beyond the pricing & prestige of being Falken's best/flagship tyres, it's not worth if you're driving more than a couple of years...1 developed `pregnant' blob on my 18" rear wheel Type R (Jaguar), gave me weeks of mismatched problems in the end i just changed the whole set of 4s, now on Michellin ContiSports2

What's yout driving style ?

I'm on GY Revspec RS-02, kinda underated in SG. (Dunno why not many people using) Good drip in dry/wet and not too noisy. Only downside is their wear rate ....

F1 Eagle Asy is not bad cause i used it personally though i heard a lot of stories abt the crack issues. Think they might have resolved it. I have a friend who got the Eagle F1 Asy and drove about 30,000KM and realised the crack and they changed a brand new set for him! [;)]

Maybe the new ones do not have the issue anymore but need to check with them though..

Apparently there are quite a number of such cases posted in the VAG forum. Mostly low-profile, German-made ones.

Most likely a factory defect i guess. I took the set to PG twice upon installation and once up north going at high speeds and another good 15K with no problems. Only complain is the noise level and of coz it's price. Switched to Hankook S1 EVO then to RS-2. Currently looking for other options if not I'll switch back to S1 EVO.

I'm on Michelin PS3. Previously on CSC3. PS3 feels very similar to CSC3, but quieter and more comfortable. However on the limits, PS3 feels more predictable than CSC3 but squeals when the CSC3 doesn't. Overall, prefer PS3 for its comfort, silence and predictability. :D

Hi Bros,

Im gonna need to change my tires soon. I narrrow down to these 3 for my 225/45/R17 set.

1) Advan AD08

2) Bridgestone RE11

3) Michellin PS3

Just wondering what is the price for the above sets and the place of manufacture. I will prefer something with less noise than my current goodyear set which is ard 3 yrs old and frigging noisy to say the least.

So far many bros have said things about the tires but the prices were never mentioned. Dun wanna to kena carrot at the tires shops!

I'm using Eagle F1 right now.... exact same profile as u r looking..... I have done about 30k+km on it already. Rotated only once.... But mine is the Made in Thai-kok version.

Other tyres that I tried:

Yokohama AD-07

Federal SS595

Bridgestone RE005 or RE001 (Cannot rem)

In terms of dry grip:

1st Place: the AD-07 far surpass all other tyres I tried so far.

2nd Place: Bridgestone

3rd Place: Federal SS595

Last: Eagle F1

In terms of wet grip:

1st place: Bridgestone

2nd place: Federal

3rd place: Eagle F1

Last: AD-07 is almost non-existent. Not sure if they have rectified this with the AD-08.

The least noisy:

1st place: AD-07

2nd place: Bridgestone

3rd place: Eagle F1

Last: Federal SS595

Most expensive:

1st place: AD-07

2nd place: Bridgestone

Joint 3rd: Eagle F1 and SS595

Hard Sidewall:

1st place: Bridgestone

2nd: Federal SS595

3rd: AD-07

Last: Eagle F1

My personal perference:

1st place: Bridgestone

2nd: Federal SS595

Last: Eagle F1

*I won't touch AD-07 due to the poor wet grip. But not sure if the AD-08 has improved or not.

Most likely I will swtich to Bridgestone for my next tyre change.
