Pisces69 6th Gear May 29, 2010 Share May 29, 2010 30K.....Hmm.... Its hard to tell because its a conti car, repair cos may be inflated compared to Jap. I once seen a Sunny front end crushed and airbags deployed. Its was repaired instead because it cost around $15K (basically get half cut and weld up the front). ================== This is illegal. R u sure the ins co did this? Then u sud reject this car as its very unsafe. ↡ Advertisement
Pisces69 6th Gear May 29, 2010 Share May 29, 2010 Just base of the few photos without seeing how badly damaged the chasis i would say most likely to be repair rather than scrap. A new bonnet, radiator, bumper, both sides front fender, all the lightings plus labour for aligement, respraying, knock knock here knock knock there etc. ================ Ya based on photos, it dont look that bad. But all depends on the internal damage(chassis etc) which cannot b seen here.
Pisces69 6th Gear May 29, 2010 Share May 29, 2010 What kind of costs are we looking at for a typical pair of srs airbags? I believe we have to bring it back to the agent to get it replaced right? ============== Since its already an insurance claim, just let them send to agent for the full repairs

Transfer of force from the impacT? Who knows? If you're saying the people in the car had their heads smashed against the winscreen upon the accident i can assure i spoke to the passengers in the car and none of them sound like they had a 3G force of impact on their head.
