Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 16, 2010 Share June 16, 2010 (edited) For smart phone, i will think its safer to get it after 1/2 a year. let the IT geeks iron out all the problem for us. Normally you don't have to for smartphones as more often than not the it makes no difference unless the OS has had a major update. For the iphone 4 its different. from iphone to iphone 3G, to iphone 3GS it didn't matter. You're going to hear quite a few complaints about iphone apps looking ugly, etc on the 4 when it comes out, and as much as i am anti-apple, it won't be the phones or apples fault. It would be the fools who don't understand the implication of the higher resolution screen on the current 100 000 (did i get this right) iphone apps. Now with the ipad 3GS and 4 to be sold alongside each other, its app development is going to have the same minor teething issues as android did initially with multiple resolutions (though it should be fine to run iphone 4 apps in the ipad as the resolution difference is marginal so scaling images shouldnt reduce image quality too much- this is my opinion).
