Six full-time national servicemen (NSF) were hurt when a bolt of lightning hit the hill they were training on in Marsiling last week. The men were participating in a training excercise under a shelter during the time.

basic TSR is not to stand under tree during Cat 1

i'm surprised the media did not highlight this point and question why the cadets did such a wrong thing

either the media is ignorant or they are trying not to blow things up for these NSFs ...

Because the media read point 1 as well. :D

car has Faraday Cage effect, thats why it's safe

seldom will you have such a structure, except for vehicles or training sheds.

so avoid holding, standing or having anything that conducts electricity

[thumbsup] looks like you did pay attention in class [thumbsup]
