scenerio, I brought my passport along, went through the normal custom procedure. Cleared and stamped on it. I jumped down to the straits and swim across it. The passport still intact with me, swim across to malaysia custom. Is this counted as an offence? haa

i mean looking it as a legal procedure perspective, i cleared customs, i just swim across to the otherside and waiting to get clear over there.

okay, lets waste time. Assuming you are singaporean and departing SIN to JB.

 

Firstly, ur passport is not stamped on the singapore side. As a citizen, you dun really need a passport to leave Singapore.

 

So after clearing the SGP custom, u jump into the straits and swim over to JB. If you do not report to the Malaysia CIQ, its an offence. You'll probably spend sometime in Pudu Bahru - PERCUMA!

 

Else, you'll be picked up by the Singapore police and spend sometime explaining why exactly did you do that.

i think after the MSK affair, the coast guard boys will be a bit trigger happy to prevent repeat incidents.... shoot first, ask questions later.. that sort of thing...

 

.. so I think the legal issues may be the least of your worries... you should consider if having several 7.62mm holes through your body will cause you to sink, or you can still float?
