Butcher_hoe Neutral Newbie August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 I will still need my car. For the MRT network to be that extensive, maybe 50yrs later. Just look at how long they take to complete the circle line.. Hmm at first I agree with what I read, but come to think of it, look at NEL, station to station is just about 4-5 mins apart, and total travelling time to complete the line is about 40mins thereabout. Wouldn't see this having a huge impact if the plan is implemented. If this plan of MRT line comes to play, I'll give up my car (If I'm still single)...but the decision at the end is still dependant on alot of factors, not just the assessibility and extensive coverage of the MRT line. Help1 1st Gear August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 is this the masterplan from LTA endorsed by MOT or just a kid using some application to add in those lines?

Fondue Neutral Newbie August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 Would properties near MRT stations command such a premium pricing as today when this materializes? When this happen, properties AWAY from MRT will be a premium !
Magnifique 2nd Gear August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 with e daily digging and covering back everywhere.... i've a bad feeling this tiny island will sooner or later crumble... new roads are easily showing dents or potholes after months... damn worrying
Tigerwoods Turbocharged August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 Haha. I posted this 2years ago somewhere in this forum already. But man, so complicated. Worse than Japan! This Plan was dismissed by LTA as fake lah... How can LTA tell you the future plans NOW ? If you know it NOW, what will you do ? Surely buy land and property near to the planned MRT stations. Therefore, you now know why we are still so poor...

Nlatio Turbocharged August 18, 2010 Share August 18, 2010 The only time most people will give up thier car is when MRT/LRT are built right to their door step or very near to their house (like less than 50mt.)..... Why... because most of us are farking lazy to even walk...... want to see example..... go AMK central..... the big carpark facing Courts..... you will see everyday, cars after cars will park and wait at the parking lot nearest to the shop houses, when they are all taken up..... even though by walking a few more meters, there are tons of lots available..... my place here... the carpark nearest to the mkt is veri small.... but everyday, see cars all jam up there waiting for lots and kena horn here horn there..... whereby if they will to drive further in, there are tons of lots available... just mere 20 to 30mts away only.... NBzzz.....
