Kelpie 2nd Gear October 22, 2010 Share October 22, 2010 It looks like Pearl Arrowana to me. Black Pearl may be... If treated properly can probably out-live us. Regards,
Adrianli Hypersonic October 22, 2010 Share October 22, 2010 Black Pearl may be... If treated properly can probably out-live us. Regards, Its confirm a Pearl Arowana. Black arowana looks completely different. From my rearing of arowana knowledge, an aquarium raised arowana can live up to 12yrs old only. A pond raised arowana able to live up to 20yrs. We humans will out live them, not the other way round.

Adrianli Hypersonic October 22, 2010 Share October 22, 2010 why pond can live longer? This is wat I read from the books. Probably same as human living in urban landscape and rural landscape. The fish tank does not have large enough area for them to enjoy + many eyes looking at it eating, peeping, sh!ting n sleeping. The pond, usually pretty large, more freedom and less ppl looking at them. Thatz why, arowana can breed only in mud pond. Nobody see, can mate in peace. Xefera 6th Gear October 22, 2010 Share October 22, 2010 Think depends on the "zeng" also. Last time one more "yong" than current ones. More TLC when mating and spawning. Last time used to have keep one for almost 25 years before it finally kicked the bucket.
