Low mileage is entirely possible, not everyone clocks 30k a year. A few years back, my dad traded in his car at 5 years old, clocked only 40k genuine km. Home to office and back. Serangoon to Toa Payoh. Brake pads still on 1st set, most wear and tear items not changed other than battery. Could see the car exporter linked to the AD rubbing his hands in glee when he realised the 5 yr old car looked and smelled brand new.

A real waste of a low mileage gem, but consolation was could drive off a newer model of his accord by topping up just 10k to the absurdly high paper value. That car is now another even lower mileage gem after my dad retired.... [:p]

Some cars are really low mileage and not tampered. My Dad's RX300 is exactly 7 years old, registered in Jan 2005. His mileage is about 85,000 km only. One owner and serviced with agent all the way.

So, not all odometers are tampered and sometime you can get genuine low mileage cars ... but very rare lah

is he selling soon? :)

Which OBD2 scanner actually can read the genuine mileage of the car..? And what software etc to use..?

Interested to get it... Infact, everyone should bring it around when go viewing for car..

It's just a simple plug and play... Just need to know which software etc to use...

My Honda Jazz 18months.....real odometer reading as of today...almost reaching 13,000km.

Received KAH SMS to ask me to go for the servicing......will wait till 20k then go.

My 8 years old Honda supers four, real odometer reading as of today....almost reaching 25,000km.

There are many cars and bike on the road with real low mileage.

How to check and correlate mileage to engine and car condition? Not sure.

Too low, unbelievable. In the middle, dealer favourite adjusted range. Too high, engine no good, don't buy.

U have to give the benefit of the doubt, check the oil gauge, a/c filter, fan belt, brake pad, tyre/rim and interior quality.

After 3 yrs of usage, it should not look like 28K mileage, true, the dealer may have done a good service/polishing job etc, as experienced car buyer, sent it for Vicom test independently.

I judged based on my visual observation and test drive with volume off round circuit, slope, no test drive no buy for me.

My 3 yrs and 9 mths CS3 only travelled 46K only... [sweatdrop]

Last time doing onsite job can easily clocked 20k per year, now desk job only clocked around 13k per year only.
