Saw a EVO Wrap the Lamp Post at Eunos Link

Saw this accident at around 11:30am at junction of Eunos link and Kaki Bukit Ave 2. A corona (1993 model) with front damage in the center of the junction. The Evo was on the traffic light pathment wraping around the lamp post on driver side. the EVO is definitely total. No sure how is the driver for the EVO.

I know I don't have a photo as I was driving alone.

Saw that when I was going out for lunch too, the white evo 9. Looks quite bad, thats a corona? I thought it was a proton from front view. But the front was trash already.

But base on the damage on the EVO, the speed should be quite high.

Without witnessing the accident at the scene, we can't judge accurately, it could well have been the other car's fault or some other external factors. But apart from that, from my experiences driving such cars I can say that these cars handle very well at normal road speeds and it is not easy to lose control when driving sensibly. On the other hand, many (not all) people who drive these cars like to push them hard, which may be fine on the track but never on public roads, and worse still, some people like to drive them fast but don't have the skills to handle them safely - not to mention reacting in time to unexpected incidents on the roads. So of course the first thing that will come to the minds of many is speeding.

If you watch crash test videos on youtube, you will know what speed produces what kind of crashes. To be able to go up to pavement and wrap lamp post, you need speed and lots of it. 50-60KM/H is insufficient to do that.

 

Laws of Physics applies to all accidents. Cannot escape one.

Well, thats my opinion and my claim. You do not have to believe in what I said and neither do you have to agree with what I said.

 

However, it would be better for you to refute my claims with some reasons or supporting statements. If you say something thats reasonable or tell me I could be wrong because of certain factors I failed to see, then I could admit my mistake. Making such sacartistic remarks doesn't change my opinion and neither does it contribute anything constructive to the thread.
