I meant aircon filter. Can't find it... This ride setup a bit difficult to access the common wear and tear items, including oil filter, air filter...

Ok will post rims later... A number of bros w 3008 in m'sia also changed to this mak rims. The BSS rim has only 1 model for 3008, but doesn't look good w pcd 4 hole design.

Had to admit I had underestimated this car's performance initially.

Pretty impressive, judging how easily it can continually being pushed and accelerated with ease up to 180km/h mark in a reasonable space of time, despite heavy luggages & full passengers on-board. And it still have enough power to rev beyond that.

Did the French under-declare the paper specs for this car? It feels more powerful than it actually is.

Great engine, great transmissions....it could do better with a nicer front though.

A great car, really. Hands up...

Read on an UK Peugeot forum that the a/c filter is in the 'glove compartment' under the steering wheel... I haven't actually checked though.

Here are the instructions

In the glovebox under the steering wheel on drivers side.

- Open the glovebox

- Remove the interrior panel in glovebox

- Remove the trim under the glovebox

- Slide the airduct down (its the plastic left of the steering wheel shaft)

- Once exposed remove the plastic flap covering the filters

- Slide out the filter behind the steering wheel shaft

- Slide the 2nd filter up into position where the 1st filter was and remove it in same manner

and work from last step to first to refit new filters.

Hi all, just saw this 3008 thread n seem like some interesting discussion going on here. Jus booked a HB unit arnd CNY for my wifey n waitg for COE bidding n shipment in Feb. Love d look n drive of d car except for d head unit n rims. Guess rim r limited but the MAK seems ideal. Am very keen to change the head unit as it looks quite dated on a beautiful dash so hope to get some recommendation good lobang here. Saw some interesting "made in china" unit in ebay but worry of compatibality issues. Comments? Cherz.

I know someone here installed a slide out DVD player in the 1DIN slot for the head unit... But I think you are referring to something like this?

http://www.w2audio.com/buy-peugeot-307-aut...on-w2745p-.html

The big question to me with these 2 DIN units is if the controls for the car menu system- eg the selection of DRL on/off, follow me home lights, trip computer etc can still be accessed via the new head unit.

The info on this particular head unit says MFD (?multifunction display)= NO

So I'm guessing this isn't a very good solution....

If someone can find a better solution I would be keen to know more myself.

The stock ICE actually sounds pretty good for an OEM system.

Peugeot sells a rebranded Denison interface cable

http://www.thepeugeotshop.co.uk/product/MP...ion_9702EZ-2850

I bought mine from the UK through this company

http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/iPod_Car...ot_iPod_Car_Kit

You will need to get AutoFrance to enable the CD changer port of the head unit. For some $ they will install the cable... my SE sponsored mine.

I believe the newest 308s may not need this cable if the AUX in port now has a USB port as well. It has the bluetooth function also which was not included in mine.

The cable works great, it charges and allows control of the ipod from the steering wheel BUT it is difficult to navigate to a specific song. Best way is to build up a library of playlists in the ipod and just play those.

Hi, just to share. I installed an alpine 1din player with slide out DVD screen. Got an adaptor to enable control of the player via remote control at steering wheel as well.

Although the original din is taken out, I can still access Drl, follow me home lights, trip computer, log computer, etc. All via the right remote control.

Hi Bro Hotnyh & Sunday,

Tks for the feedback and recommendation. Much Appreciated! [wave]

Actually for me, best is to get the entire Sat Nav system but heard from my SE that it does not work in SG and cost a bomb! So alternatively to remove the stock stereo is quite limited due to the MFD.... [:(] Lets hope they do something similar to the 508 or the upcoming 208 in their upcoming facelift for the 3008 so as to keep my hope alive. ^_^

Bro Hotnyh, notice you're quite active in the Peugeot MY forum. Is that you? Like the color of your car which I intend to get but wifey preferred Hickory Brown due to its unique and rare colour on the road.

Cherz.

Yup that's me...

There is a new Singapore Peugeot forum here-

http://peugeot.sgportal.net/

However, it is very early on so not many members and little discussion in there....

My main gripe with my car is the rattling moonroof blind. It only stays quiet when it if fully closed... they have had one go at fixing it but it didn't do the job. Next service I'll try again...

As for the colour, it's Thorium Grey. Was told that the older Shark Grey was discontinued as the paint components were sourced from Japan and no longer available after the tsunami.

I actually bought this colour thinking it would be a lot lighter but still am happy with the way it looks. I actually like the Vapour Grey - the one in the brochure but they don't bring any of this colour in. The Malaysians have it though...

I'm aiming for a Peugeot, undecided between 3008 and 5008. I read the reviews in SGcarmart for 3008, 3 reviews and all had reliability 3.5 out of 5. I wonder why. Can the owners comment?

Haha, one of those was mine...

The car is so new that you can't tell about reliability... BUT it's French and I wouldn't expect to be as bullet proof as my old Subaru or Honda.

The THP engine has it's problems too if you do a search on the net.

But it is an amazing engine- smooth, powerful not too thirsty... and has won engine of the year twice...

Up to you to decide on your own comfort zone. If very conservative expectations I'd suggest you stay with the Japanese but if you are willing to accept that things may not be 100% reliable I think these newer Frenchies are much better than 1-2 generations ago. The 4 speed auto gearbox was the worst feature for most PSA cars in the past but the current gearbox is Japanese!
