Well, get used to it. BMW is never known for reliability.... You really need to spend time, effort and $$$ to maintain it properly.

where is the report coming from? US or local ones?

 

The BMW woes is limited to the 3.0 twin turbo engine. If your car is not in this cat ie newer twin scroll then no need to worry. If NA lagi no need to worry. If M3 lagi best... most reliable spork car.

Which Audi model u are referring to? So far my A4 (2 yr old) & my dad A6 (5 yr old) just go for normal servicing only.

Well, get used to it. BMW is never known for reliability.... You really need to spend time, effort and $$$ to maintain it properly.

 

Actually i've owned 3 beemers before, from 320 (E46 2.2L), 5 Series & E46M3, all don't give any problems that i know off & if serviced very regularly then one shouldn't face any problems. If you do face any then most likely yours is a lemon/friday car.

Not true, if you sustain your rev at very high rpm over a very long distance then the M3 Oil Temp will rise damn fast!
