As the video has mentioned, flushing is a risky procedure. The deposits that came off may clog narrow oil glleries. If that happens you are in big trouble.

Regular oil change is the best flushing. If you need to remove desposits. Just use a cheap oil and run it for 500/1000KM and change it. Engine flush can also breaks down the engine oil, causing the oil unable to adhere properly to metal surfaces. If that happens, you get massive wear due to metal contact.

If you have done ebgine flush before, you realise the oil coming out is very thin like water? Thats what the flush did to the oil. W/o flush, oil is thicker.

u r right... if engine is too dirty, you cant flush. If your engine is clean, no point to flush... either way,. flushing is not necessary...

Another way of engine flush is drain out oil oil put in new oil run for 10-15min drain out and put in new oil againg this is another way of flushing the engine.

Toyota Borneo Motors also have an option for engine flushing apart from their usual servicing package.

but if you carefully read the manuals of most car maker--no indication of flush required.

all this is at the local agents discretion...bottom line is its money making.

truly i feel it can do more harm than good. esp to all the seals & gaskets !

for me i feel this way more safer.

thats why dont stretch your oil change period too long for sludge to form....

If the car is using 100% Syn oil since new,no need to flush, because there will be no or very little deposit.

thats the good thing about using syn. oil in the engine....

Just changed mine yesterday.

I'm using Mugen Rev R for my engine oil - left me with a S$165 damage (for 4 litres).

unless you are driving a high performance car, the oil is an overkill
