Kilatz 1st Gear December 12, 2010 Share December 12, 2010 Anyone used the rear view mirror that include the rear cam? Its the one where once you engage reverse, the view of the rear cam will be shown in the centre rear view mirror. I drive mpv so thought of installing this because my carpark has a 1m raised wall and no tire stopper. At night, its a bit hard to gauge. OC has kissed the wall when reversing before. I don't intend to put a touchscreen unit because i don't use it much and i find the light from the display irritating especially when driving on NSH at night.. Any bros have this? Any review? ↡ Advertisement
Archenemy 1st Gear December 14, 2010 Share December 14, 2010 yeah i use it even though i have a 2 DIN headunit with reverse cam function... it might take a bit of getting used to because it seems like your rear view mirror is split into 2 when it is not in reverse-cam mode...its a bit dark lah.... other than that...its ok...served me well for 2 years... Chinablue Clutched December 14, 2010 Share December 14, 2010 i have used the rear cam integrated with the rear view mirror before, it's good just that the image are not really that "HD clear"(maybe my camera was lousy). the rear mirror comes with anti-glare as well, so those motherfxxkers on high beam behind will have no effect on you. Kilatz 1st Gear December 14, 2010 Author Share December 14, 2010 Aiyoh wait very long so I just installed. Good cam... very clear view both night and day... And its the tiny dot cam so not very visible just above my license plate And I use a dedicated monitor...just a small one beside my gps stand. This is because I don't have a HU and don't intend to get one because it spoils my night vision on NSH...

Onake3 Neutral Newbie January 3, 2011 Share January 3, 2011 I just use a full set of rear view system, it contains a wireless rear view camera, rear view mirror, and 8 sensors, (4 in front, and 4 in rear), my rear view camera was installed on the license plate, the camera is weather proofed, and I have been using it for 3 years, to be frankly, to maintain well for a parking sensor system is also important.
