Hi, recently was quoted by BM for Elegance model at $114k G/COE with ex stocks. Check with the SE when is the earliest collection date if I place my booking end of this month but she couldn't answer. My car will be due on early Oct and I need a car due to work. Any bros here can advise the usual collection time with G/COE? Is it within 1 month or 3 months? Ask the SE how many bids is their G/COE they change topic and keep asking me to place the deposit first. My wife don't feel comfortable as the SE is very pushy so eventually we told the SE I need to consider first.

 

After which I went to a PI and was quoted around the same price with 1bid and new car will be OTR within 1 month.

Hi Alantic82, thanks for the explanation. 3 months are rather long (worst case scenario) guess may have to discuss again with my wife as she initially wanted to get a 4yrs old 2.5 camry but somehow managed to convince her to buy a brand new car instead (I'm looking at deprecation but she's looking at monthly installment. Women!)

 

I do prefer to buy from AD but for my current situation not much choice man. The PI that quoted me are actually from a reputable company and they provide 5yrs warranty (company warranty not workshop) plus 3yrs free servicing which is not bad.

 

FYI, me and my wife spent the whole 45mins (first 10mins we were walking around but nobody attend to us) inside the showroom with the SE introducing the car plus going through all the loan details etc without offering us a test drive.

I got mine delivered in july after booking in end may. The things is my coe was secured in 1st bid but had to wait for car to come. As for g.coe by Paper its a max of 6bids but for ng.coe its a risk involved. SE will recommend ng.coe but don't fall for it. I booked mine at 104988 with trade in g.coe and i got my car.

The thing about BM is they will make a max of 6 bids even for g.coe so if u r lucky 1st bid u can secure ur coe and u just got to wait for your car. For my case my coe was secured in the 1st bid but had to wait for my car n my SE was nice to arrange a temp car for rent at a very good price till my delivery.

New Wish owner reporting here, just receive it 2 Saturday ago SLF1xxx plate.

 

At that same time scrap my CS3 MT, it was a very reliable workhorse for the almost 10 years it has been with me and only once it was not able to start due to low battery but I easily got it moving again just by push starting it. 

The >210,000km it covers it is cheap to maintain, I had changed tyres = 2x, Battery = 3x, Timming belts = 1x, Radiator = 1x, A/C compressor = 1x, Driver side power window = 1x but I did not change the engine mounting and suspension before but I know both items are gone and it was quite bad before scrap. Including the all regular maintenance and parts replacement my records show a total of <$6500 for its life. All this years I still getting average of >13 km/l, I really love this Lancer.

 

Before I was looking at the Sienta instead of the Wish, I like Sienta because it is more economical to maintain until I found out that the Wish only cost slightly more. One important factor is I was really struggling and trying very hard to accept is the Sienta unconventional appearance but once I set my heart on the Wish there is no more turning back even though I knew I will save some $ if I goes for the Sienta.

 

Now my new love, the Wish Std Pearl White book NG package bought during mid May but kenna play out by the MAS policy change (late May) so have to topup $4,000 to G COE. My OMV is $19,955 while COE is $57,508 having high paper value is useless as i intend to drive for 10 years how I wish I did not need topup.

Bros here looking to buy please consider carefully if you want to book the G or NG package and if you trade in your existing car to BM, the topup to G is only half to $2,000 and I feel it is very good pricing. I miss this opportunity then as I nor the SE had expected the surge in the COE by ~$10,000 and by then this option of trade in is no more available to me.

 

Its been 1 week of driving the Wish, topup to full tank 51.5 litres from 'E' mark and driving more gently than usual (for run in mah) and at exactly half tank mark I had already travel for 420km, total odometer now is 550km and btw when I received the new car the odo shows only 2km (so virgin). I hope after the run in I can have equally good FC as compare to the Lancer.

 

Just Saturday did up my solar film (did'nt pay $1,900 to BM to add solar film and leather seat) and I pay $9xx to do up the 3M Crystaline grade and I can customised the VLT to my liking also added an anti glare strip to the top of the front windscreen, unlike the BM only giving 3M std grade with lighter tint. Will be doing the half leather seat at a later stage (actual fabric seat is cooler if park under the hot sun and it don't fried your backside like leather but it will attract more dust and I must test and see how it goes) and the cost should be about $1,000.

Congrats to your new ride. My plate is SLE1XXX. I took g.coe standard package and did all the mod externally too. My leather seats i did 2 tones cost me $1300 incl of gst. Solar film from vkool $1100 top grade. Upgraded my audio from my previous ride. Didn't like their elegance freebies esp the centre monitor. I also added my own 2 way video recorder. Currently waiting to install my 360 camera which gives a birds eye view when parking or on the move. Will update you guys if its a success as its going to cost me way below market price. The auto door lock is the most important feature you will need please get it guys. I also got the blue mirrors which cuts the glare from rear cars and the turn signal that comes with it is so nice. I got lobang to fix the auto fold mirror at reliable jb workshop cost me rm120. Fixed my strut bars over there too cost me about rm900 compared to $580sgd for the same ultra racing brand. The tpms sits nicely into the panel so does the usb port with batt voltage. I also fixed the overhead console for extra compartments. Check this carousel page really got good stuff for our wish. Its quite hard to find mod for wish.

All wish owners we need a group like honda vezel so that we can share and get mass orders for our ride. At the moment check this page for some add ons for our ride.

You book after the MAS thing and BM is still selling $102,988 then? I think you make a very smart move for the G package. I was totally caught out as this is really unexpected. what is the color of your ride.

 

For me I really feel it is more worth to buy the std and do the upgrade yourself as there is more choices and you can pay for better quality products. I think with the $6,000 difference you can do up a lot of stuff unless you are those who don't want to spend too much time and hassle looking and hunting around. For me it is quite fun to do this improvement bit by bit.

 

I had also dekit my ICE system from the previous ride, I had Audison amp, DA spk, Gensis sub and Eclipse HU but I might sell all this away as I find the stock sys is quite decent for stock and the best part is there is additional tweeter on top of the dash which bring the whole sound field higher against those with speaker only on the lower door panel. Only bad is dont know can install reverse camera a not. So you are not too concern about the warranty and it is grey area about what can and cannot be done.

 

Do share with us your upgrade.

 

Btw how is your FC, also your previous ride and its FC because this is a good gauge about individual driving pattern and route.

Saw on newspaper that a PI was selling wish at 120K... wonder why PI are selling at much higher price than AD?

Well from my initial experience and got feedback from the 3rd row passenger is can feel the AC coolness but it was not on a sunny day.

 

If I am not wrong my fan speed then is only at 3 out of 7 speed and temp set at 24 to 25 degree, actually when driving alone or with a passenger infront I set to 1st speed only and sometimes in hot day have to set to 2nd but after a while I feel it is too strong and would switch back to 1st speed.

 

The 5th air vent on top of the dash which is angle upward to blow cold air to the rear for the 2nd and 3rd row should have serve this purpose but nothing beats having a cold air vent in front or on top blowing right at you. I will normally close this when there is no 3rd row passenger.
