I'm currently using the Iphone4.

Thinking of getting either one of the above.

Current owner, please give your views. Thank you [:)]

Wait for iPad 2 to arrive in Singapore?

those who own the Ipad can download this app, good for online reading of magazine. Wait for promotion. eg I bought the new zealand version of reader's digest for S$9+ for one year issue, Maxim for $21 one year issue.

Depends on what you want to do with the tablet.

Ipad is good for larger viewing..... but if its not jailbroken, there's heaps of limitations (besides, IOS 4.2.1 does not have JB just yet). Current pad can't even function as a camera as it does not have both front & back cams.

Tab can do MobileAP and share with upto 5 devices (on WIFI) your data plan. It does not have limitations on downloading files in stock form. No limitations on connecting to any bluetooth device whereas pad can only bluetooth to accessories like headset or keyboard, but cannot do file transfer to say your other phones (not sure if file transfer to other Apple products can or not)

I find the graphics better on tab and the video playback support supports more codecs.

Most important, no need itunes to link to PCs. Can view file structure, expandable & removable memory upto 32Gb so can swap cards around. Without headset and using the tiny speakers, the tab has more of a stereo effect as the speakers are located on each end of the unit, whereas the Pad has them all together at one side. Pad cannot be used as a phone whereas tab can. But I find the touch screen performance a little better on the pad vs the tab.

If you like meddling with the firmware of the tablet, then the Tab is for you as there's heaps of various versions and lagfixes to suit your fancy. pad is root means root.... only one type of root to allow access.....(when ios 4.2.1 becomes available)

Pad more games than tab. So far, have not experienced much lag on pad but tab runs into lags quite frequently expecially when a few apps are running.

So depends on what you want..... get both if you're not sure lor..... best of all worlds.
