JaydenSTI 1st Gear January 14, 2011 Share January 14, 2011 my ride makan about 1/5th oil according to the dipstick (between full to low marks) in just 2 months time, i so fedup than go back AD to complaint and they topup for me.... my ride less than 9 months old as of now.... alwayz heard TC car had to be service every 5000km, however the AD advise can go back every 10000km..... i service every 8000km though... U have to check your dipstick and top up the oil according to the amount reduce. makeup oil could be any brand or type of oil. Dont listen to those jokers who tells u not to mix different oil.... so long your engine oil is API certified, and the engine oil comes with SL, SM, or SN rating, it could be mixed....be it fully syn, semi syn, mineral from brand A, B or C... just mix it. If I were u, i am more interested to know the condition of the oil rather than to find out what oil to top up. You may do a simple blooter test to see the condition of the oil you may search in thos forum or google for more details. If the oil condition is not really that good. You may change the oil ASAP. if its still okie, just top up with any reputable oil like amsoil, redline, M1, castrol oil and you will be very safe. most of these oil manufacturer tells you that their oil is compatible with any other engine oil. If u constantly need to top-up EO, likely yr piston/rings already badly worn or yr engine leaking oil somewhere.
