Thank you so much for the replies.

Yes, I meant the Malaysian side of the Customs, entering from Woodlands.

Intended to buy & keep one in case have to enter JB...but with the shelf life, might have to reconsider.

Thank you, too, for the updates on the white card requirement. They flip-flopped on the issue a few times these past few years...

Such a pain to have a newbie account with 5-posts/day restrictions. -_-"

I believe there is a shelve life for the TNG card. 1 year from the last contact made. Anyone can confirm, thanks... [wave]

Just want to add one more item.

Want to confirm that 'White' card is not necessary when going over to MY.

Cos my TNG card is expiring in 2 week time (last time visit MY in Dec 2012) if I don't go in to MY. [grin]

That's correct, shelf life of 1 year from last usage (top-up, pay toll etc). My last card was >1yr didn't used so had to go to those tolls which had office to fill in form for refund. Took close to 1 month to received the cheuque in S$. Card can last for 10 yrs

Anyone encountered TNG card cannot be detected at all? I had a fairly new TNG, the reader or tambah nilai counter could not read it after 2 weeks. Had to throw it away.

Suggest you guys to maintain a fair value, in case the card dies suddenly.

Bro, which Toll Office along the Highway ? Thanks.

I always use 2nd link and last Sat went in and was informed 'Expired' after one year (last entry on 24/11/12) unused ... [grin]

Had to buy new one and asked the counter girl and was told to go to office at Kulai on weekdays to claim ... [sweatdrop]

My last card have about RM100+ stored value inside. [flowerface]

Best joke was that my new TNG card brought on Sat (14/12/13) have an expired date stated as Nov 2023 .... [shocked]

but if don't use within 1 year, it is useless .. [grin]

TNG Card if inactive for 1 year it the credits would be unusable, But every 6 mths 5 RM would be deducted from the card if there are still remaining credits inside.. If you want to refund the card and the credits you have to go TNG counter.. TNG website have those address that are able to refund.. i Have a TNG that have about 80RM inside i am going to try to see if i am able to get the refund :D

just bring along your new TNG card and ask the toll office to directly credit the unused value of the the expired card into the new card. you will be provided a form to fill.

I did this with my previous expired card a few years back. Not sure if this is still in practice though.

asking for a friend.

Can one buy a new TnG card at the 2nd link after they go through the immigration counter? TIA.

Bro,

The buying or topping up of TnG card is at the 2nd link Malaysia side before the customs.

There is a booth in the middle just before the immigration lanes, where the roads branch out to the individual custom lanes :)

Got about 4 self-help machines for u to check balance, reload, buy new card etc
