yup, I am still trying to figure out where exactly it was. I think it is near Watten Estate stretch, before all the flyovers were built.

Btw, there was a KFC at the current KK hospital. It was actually a proper restaurant

No it was right outside the kheam hock road and dunearn road junction.

I still remember the "National" (Japanese brand TV) tower along North Bridge Road where now Penisula Shopping Centre is......

A 3 storeies multi storey car park sits between this tower and Capitol Threater. At the ground floor of the car park where a lot of shops selling watches.

At this tower is also the first Bata Shop. Something strange happen to the tower one day where thousand of 'Emperor Moth' rested on the tower. A year later, it was dismantle and make way for the building of Penisula Shopping Centre.........

Most of you guys grew up in down town orchard collecting toys I did not knew exist. While I grew up in the kompong called 6 miles junction near Kovan and Serangoon garden (ang Sa Lee), catching spiders and smashing opponents marbles to pieces. :D

Tho I grew up in downtown area, I also got to catch spiders, climb a bit of trees, catch a bit of logang fish, catch tree snakes, etc.

Big Mac was served in a blue square styroform box then. And burgers couldn't be kept for more then 2hrs, after that they had to be disposed, now, I think they disposed of it to kids! [laugh] I worked at Liat Towers branch then. -_-

Wrong, big mac is brown form box, quater pounder is orange, filet o fish is blue, Mac chicken is white, nuggests is yellow.

I was working in Changi Airport T1. During the last day of Liat Tower, I was station there to work as counter crew.

Yaohan had the coolest toy department in Singapore then. The latest stuffs from Japan. Ultraman, Kamen Rider, The Red Robot. Then they had an arcade with the 'latest' games in color!! I buggered my mom so hard to buy me this . Bestest Game I ever had. Learned all my driving moves from this game. [thumbsup]

My favorite was this submarine game that you shoot ships through a periscope. It goes "Ping" "Ping" "Swoosh" "Kaboom!!" and the graphic was superb

oh.... thanks for posting the picture....

sure bring back a lot of memories for me.....

THANK YOU

GiantRobot.jpg

I think the English version was Johnny Sokko or something.

Do you remember a series 'giant robot'? not sure if this is the actual name.... The robot can shoot missile from the fingers....

It was as popular as the ultra man ...
