Itsec 2nd Gear February 1, 2011 Share February 1, 2011 ditch the 1.5 EX... go for 2.0... if not take 6 speed forte... dont bother with those MIJ/MIK.... jap quality is going downhill... my neighbour's 2.0 EX... abs sensor spoil within a yr... i was like!!! however, the dashboard is made of hard plastic.. as compare to EX...which made it looks cheap.. (if 2.0's dashboard and 1.5 is the same) power wise... forte seem better... the feeling which EX 2.0 gives me... heard the rev.. but car seem stationary... perhaps.. the power range is much higher than i thought... or maybe its due to the e-throttle... or maybe its too heavy... whatever... Its going to be my first car, so the above are based on my limited budget. They probably all have pros and cons, but any advise for newbie car buyer?? Thanks... Pricewise it is abt the same for all 3, just that i know omv for mazda 3 much higher. Exterior i think forte look the best Interior should be mazda 3 I have test drive all 3 but being newbie i can't really tell the difference, but my gf do feel that somehow mazda 3 feels more comfy and stable? Pick up all not very fast, but i thought somehow the forte is a teeny winny bit faster? Any advice?? Thanks... Majordan 2nd Gear February 1, 2011 Share February 1, 2011 not sure about forte, but for EX and Mz3 pls dont get the 1.6/1.5... top up a bit can get the 2L which is what the body is built for EX - fierce, sporty look, but the pick up feels very wannabe Mz3 - conti drive, less common on the road, freaking heavy FC Forte - this is machiam the cheaper version of corolla, throw one stone can hit 5 fortes, 4 altis and 3 vios i feel that buy car not need to ask ask one. just go and test drive and buy the one you have the best feeling. no need to care what anyone thinks.
