anyone ever went for an inspection with the Check Engine Light lighted up ?

 

mine is due middle of the month.

engine check light on mean sensor sense something not right, just go workshop get it check. sometime small thing, but prolong delay become big issue and means big $$$

That's why I dun like to do this kinda thing last minute(car inspection). Once I receive the letter I will go asap and have everything done when the car is in good condition. Moreover they give more dan enough time for you to get it done but still ppl like to wait till last moment.

get a workshop with a scantool to check the code and then reset the light and go for inspection first...

 

any idea if the light will come back on after a "reset" ? or shud i do the reset just b4 the inspection ?

If reset alr light still there then get professional help.. And dont do it last minute Coz you never know last min u not free then pass inspection date means more money alr. [laugh]

I think is the Cat prob ba....ECU cant detect the cat.......

 

Reset lor......What is your car by the way?

Cat problem is not the only reason for CEL light up. You have to scan the error code using an OBDII reader to diagnose.
