Certain electrical stuff are cheap in Mustafa. I bought my fridge there. I saved $200. And this is compared to famous neighborhood electrical shops like EJ, GAB that are well known for their good prices. If compare with the big boys like HN, C or BD then the savings is about $350.

if can i park at city sq mall...if after midnight, i will park along the road. another way is to park at this proper open space carpark at racecourse road there....but u need walk a bit.

i have never use their parking lot cos look old and dark...sometimes i feel that mustafa overload every level with goods i wonder if the building can support the weight!

and for those who never been there for very long, their new extension wing is now opened!!!

they are doing progressive renovations.... the place looks much neater now...

last time practically war zone and no human traffic control also

Agree it's neater now, but still dread the need to cable tie your bags before entering (which can still open easily). [:p]

Can buy odd things like watch repair tool kits also. You probably can't find this in other supermarts.

Yup, 4th floor, kept in "locker". [laugh] Ask the guy there and he will bring out. $16 for 1 complete set of tool kits including a small hammer. Now can DIY change batt and do some basic maintenance liao. [:p]

Can get your car accessories, gardening tools, etc on this floor too.

Don't get you. Do you mean seals for watches' back cover?

The tool kits (about 10-20 pieces of kits) include hammer, tweezer, block stand, wrench/opener for watch backing, etc, etc. Consummables like seals and batts are not included.

Pardon my ignorance, for each battery change as I understand, one needs to perform a proper seal. Is it available separately ?

In theory, yes. But, watch shops will not change for you unless the seal's really koyak or you asked them to. BTW, seals are different for different brands and models. It's definitely not cheap. Think it costs more than the battery change the shop charge you. So far, never change my watch seal, always re-use.

Serangoon Plaza to be demolished in February

By next month, Singapore’s biggest 24-hour mall Mustafa is shutting its 65,000 sq ft Serangoon Plaza store, reducing its total retail space by a quarter, due to redevelopment work on the site.

Serangoon Plaza will be demolished immediately after it is vacated by all tenants early next month. Construction for the new complex will then begin, and it is slated for completion in 2019.
