Next time you travel try booking from here to collect when you return back (if you are confirmed on it) best way to get it. But when I came back from tky in Dec I still saw it on the shelves though I recall.

Nikki 17yrs special edition 700ml.....just bought 3 bottles from Japan.

Only 20k yen per bottle.

So cheap compared to those selling in Singapore.

Those travelling to Japan, pls buy them to make some pocket money.

Only started drinking whiskey in the past year and it has caught on.  Looks like this thread hasn't been active lately, so I am here to give a boost.  I am a newbie at whiskey so forgive any silly comments.

Any recommendations on what whiskey to buy on the way back from overseas trips at DFS?

Not too long ago, I got a Johnny Walker Gold Label.  Even before I started drinking whiskey, I have heard of Johnny Walker.  I finished this bottle (over a few weeks) and I recall it was not bad.

On a recent trip to UK, I started paying more attention to their whiskey selection in the supermarket.  A short video.  What's good from here?  I brought home some Glenlivet Founder's Reserve (the one on offer, in the blue box) since it was on sale!

Personal preference to be frank, I prefer Macallan 12/18 or Royal Salute not much of a Johnny Walker fan. The gold I find it quite harsh last time I tried coming from Macallan.

How about the Glenlivet?  Brought this bottle back from the UK and opened it recently.  Tasted pretty smooth. Not expensive in the UK, bought from a common supermarket.

Just for your info, as far as I know whiskey refers to Irish whiskey and Bourbon??

Whisky refers to Scotch.
