You buy your parts and their labor charge will not be the same . when you want them to do all ( parts and labor ) they will have another quote.

 

For example you want them to do all, they quote parts 300 labor 100 = 400 + GST

If you said you buy your own parts, they will say, labor 180. EXAMPLE

 

 

U mean that we can buy the parts and autosaver can change for you, charging only labour only?

That's seems to be good considering that autosaver is a big company.

The engine mounting of my 7 year old cefiro 2.3 is breaking down. I would like to change all 4 of them.

How much would be the reasonable cost of the parts and labour charge?

The quote I got from the stockist is about $600, and the labour charge about $300. The rear mount being the most expensive and also the most labour intensive so they claim. The quotation for parts and labour from R.... and A..S is very close with one another. I dont know of any other credible workshop that offer a lower quotation.

This job I don't think they must removed the engine. It's just jacking up that's all. WS can quote whatever they want, but this job need many hours to complete. I think labor between $120 - $150 reasonable.

My car was vibrating very badly during cold start, only in the morning. Last about 1 to 2 mins. After that the rest of the day is fine and will resume the next day morning.

 

Was this due to what you guys mention, due to the engine mounting?

 

I last went for servicing last time, and my workshop inform me that, my engine aligement is not straight already, he say need to change the clips. So this is what engine mounting about?

 

He told me cost about $200.00 to change.

If the engine mount wear off, it vibrates and "touch" the engine so you will feel the vibrates obviously. It's something like that. Wheel alignment off meaning your steering wheel not straight on a straight road, most of the time it will swirl left. My 2 cents.

What r those "clips" Never heard b4? Maybe he testing u if u know about cars or not? Also dunno what he mean "engine alignment not straight". I think this mech is playing with u.

 

Or if yr mech dont even know what those parts r called, I think time fr u to start looking fr a new mech.

 

Sometimes vibrating at cold start cud also b yr auto choke not working. Too long vibrate n it WILL spoil the mounts.

Thought the price was on the high side but decided to let them change the mounting base on the good feedback from this forum.

Went there this morning, he took my car for a spin and confirm that it is engine mounting problem and I can collect the car in the afteroon.

Something prompted me to confirm with him the price he quoted me over the telephone $830 plus GST.

He said the price is $1,035 plus GST.

I just drove my car away.

Bro, FYI, the mount it selves is very cheap. It's the labor charge. Since you are Nissan, call TC. I can tell you exactly the same TC will quote you. Approximately $820 before GST. TC is good but very very EX.

 

 

I am yet to sent mine for repair, if that was the amount starting with a 8, I just leave it!!!! I will buy it my own and ask someone to do it!!

I think if you car is not high end or big car, just normal hatch or sedan car. For changing of engine mounting, the ws should not charge you more than $500 with parts & labour. Anything more than that, i would say expensive.

Also must depends how many mounting you have on your car. Heard some car have 4 mounting, some only have 3 mounting. So this would also affect the total amount of the price.
