Singnet or Maxonline?

Supercharged

I have been using Singtel since dialups. Next month, I am switching to M1 Fibre.

Currently I am on mio plan and it disconnects almost on a daily basis. This is very disruptive as I work from home sometimes and had to take many calls with my land line.

So far, M1 fibre is the cheapest and with todays high cost of living, it makes sense to "downgrade" to a cheaper plan.

Connect the micro filter to your analogue phone will solve your disconnect issue.

I have this problem too and solved after I connect the micro filter to the phone.

thanks bro.

I have tonnes of microfilters at home having been a singnet user for many years. Yes, each and every of my phone socket has a microfilter already.

That is just the speed withing SG.

How much content do you download or access that comes from within SG ?

Besides MCF la hahaha.

You'd be suprised i can download stuff from rapidshare and megaupload at 1mb per second.

Stuff you get off tpb can go up to 2.5mb per second

If you get updates off microsoft, 3+mb per second

Yes correct, I just switch from singtel to M1 fibre broadband on 25Mbps and free phone line. Fed up of singtel not offering good deal, only when I call in want terminate then they offer but I told them is too late.

So far I done the speed test, always give me >50Mbps hehe don't know why so fast cos sub 25 nia.

agree..

I think you are mistaken. M1 doesn't have it's own infrastructure. Any package it sell is actually either a Starhub or singtel based product. So your comment is not valid.

As long as i'm getting awesome download speeds at a low price with very little disruptions, i can't care whether it's a starhub or singtel based product disguised as an M1 product. Point is M1 provides the service and in order for one to enjoy such a service, one has to sign up with M1.

I am looking for a change, Singtel customer service is absolutely rubbish. I never bother to call them unless things really have to be done on their side since the last incident when one of them tells me KB is bigger than MB in one of my email incident (after waiting for 45mins)

Today I just login to check on my bill. I've made a request to terminate my supplementary email and multi-sim service in March but still charged for them in April. Called them and they told me they got no record of such request (I went down personally to Hello Shop and have printed copy of the SR). Now that they finally terminate it and prorated my refund (WTF? My fault?)

It is just $3.23 of loss to me, I rather live with it rather than waiting 30mins on the line waiting for one of their busy officer to attend to my 'very important' call asking for full refund.

I read Starhub is equally bad but in the past, my experience with them still alright except the standard long waiting time when call in.

How's M1 waiting time? Equally bad?

M1's service isn't too bad. I called them and they fixed everything up a week later.

(edited)

Forgot to add, if you watch youtube videos in 240p, 360p, 480p, there's no buffer half way through the video regardless of how long it actually is. As for 720p and 1080p, there might be a slight lag sometimes but that rarely happens. I think I've made my point.

It took only 30+ seconds to load a 1080p video which basically translates to about 100+mb video
