What can IPAD do? Just web browsing?

Can ipad even output video thru the ear phone jack (3.5mm jack) to begin with?

 

If it could, then I wonder why are the video cable being sold for ipad using its charging/data socket instead of the 3.5mm ear phone socket.

 

Anyway, I've yet to get a positive video out to TV as I'm too cheapo to get the real TV-out cables. I bought a non original without the security code embedded.... then realised that there's no working "resupported4" app in 1n5t@110u5. Don't wanna pay for app so till today, I've not tested video out to see how good are the pics on TV.

 

So question is... the cable you using is an original apple product? Else you'll need resupported4 & TV-out to get it working.

Oh my sincere apologies, i was not very clear with my problem.

 

not at such a high level of tech knowledge nor desire to output videos to be display on the car dvd screen.

 

Problem, is just that when i plug in the ipad into my car system using the cable provided by kia, which has the jack into the Aux and usb and out to just the dock connector for ipad. i cant seems to play videos on my ipad nor even watch youtube video. Seems that i can only listen to ipod.

 

Not quite sure how to go around it. i dun watch videos while driving, but more for the monsters in the car. something to keep them occupied while i drive, but the sound from ipad not loud so hoping to go thru my audio system.
