Shor 1st Gear May 23, 2011 Author Share May 23, 2011 Laos , Myanmar , Vietnam and Cambodia next. But the entry Visa for Singapore registered car is hard to obtain. So far never heard people driving there but heard before many many people have this planned!!! But my opinion, Singapore to Thailand are relatively okay to drive, other than that..........I find that very risky. I drove in Laos and Myanmar before using their vehicle, road conditions is terrible. IMHO Anyone know which country is the furthest that we possible drive from spore? after Thailand? ↡ Advertisement
Raymondism Twincharged May 23, 2011 Share May 23, 2011 Ya it's AA But their timing don't suits and they go Convoy meaning many vehicles going in a big group. I personally think going in a Convoy can be fun, but too many vehicles, not so freedom. My schedule it's free & easy, no booking of accommodations before hand, drive till tired then rest!! :p Tats partly why i hv not sign up for a driving holiday yet... KaKiLang 4th Gear May 23, 2011 Share May 23, 2011 Just came back 2wks ago. When clearing the Thai border, you need to park the car one side and settle everything by foot. Stamp your passport, get insurance for your car and do up the export license for your car. No passenger manifest need to be done. Bro, welcum back, whens your next trip
KaKiLang 4th Gear May 23, 2011 Share May 23, 2011 (edited) Anyone know which country is the furthest that we possible drive from spore? after Thailand? I think the PETRONAS CHALLENGE with a team of all 4x4s went all the way by road via Yunnan, Kunming to the Muslim region near tibet. Shor 1st Gear May 23, 2011 Author Share May 23, 2011 (edited) Frankly, driving at these country can be fun. But hire or use their car. Our cars are not meant for those road. It's adventurous and we don't even to bother of potholes or any uneven road not like driving our own car, even crossing a hump we have to be very careful. I drove in Northern Vietnam Sapa, fantastic ride, I don't even know where I head to but end up paying for a motorbike lead us back to our resort!!!! It's different type of travel!!! Do it while still young and energetic. If not, next time Lau Kok Ko already, have heart no strength!!! I see.. ya lo.. dangerous.. unless our car is make of tank. equipment with Harpoon missile.. Poor county cant afford the maintain the road.. i wonder they have road tax or not.. Edited May 23, 2011 by Shor
