I don't know the exact timing but there is an auto cut off time if your remote key distance from the car for too long.

Twincharged

For toyota don't think got cut off time. Cuz there was once I drove my relative's car then rushing off so he helped me to park but forgot to return the key to him. Still can drive around and park even though I am already very far from the car.

Once engine shut down...it will not be able to start up...also, the warning tone will keep on getting louder.......if the engine just die off after awhile...it is indeed a safety concern...

I THINk that is no std answer for this question

Best is try go back and hold the key with you.

Car on the run engine could die anytime and 1 can imaging if you are at traffic junction / highway ? is not just your inconvenient is also endanger other road user , so be a responsible DRIVER please

as long as the engine is turned on

best post! include if diesel or petrol or cng or lpg or on metal hydride batteries kaput..or type puncqek.. or other major damages.... his answer is all correct..but not explained.... [laugh] means someone steal ur car using a 2 piece wire connect ignition and spark it..it can run for miles.... regardless of what wireless or connection... cos these are not connected to ignition and ignition has no computer...to start with or control...cya

Hi all, for keyless entry, when you lock the door for refueling, I suppose others can still open your door right? Anyway to prevent this? Can the remote control lock block the keyless or it's depend on car?

In my case, when I do my refilling , I locked my car, it will be locked no one can enter unless im standing next to the car. Think it requires a certain proximity to the remote you holding to unlock the car.

Wif Nissan no problem leh must be arm length of my car to unlock the door. remote lock cannot block the key less as the key less is proximity to the car sensor. Try ask AD can restrict the dist

Sounds good for yours, what car is it? The bad thing for mind is I have a pair of motion sensor in the A pillar, if I lock and my wife inside the car, it might sound the alarm......

How about have you try locking it manual and leave the key inside? I know it's dumb but I'm in Malaysia very frequently.
