No one mentioned RC submarines and ship yet.

That time I saw one guy at Punggol who custom built his own Landing Ship Tank (The ww2 version) [sweatdrop]

If u want to learn abt r/c planes, can get books on it and read up. Otherwise visit the places where ppl are flying them. As I mentioned, I am not into r/c planes, but I do know how to fly them.

Basically, start off with a high wing slow foam plane like estarter, cesena, slow stick, etc..... Like the controls n more abt the plane. Do get an experience flyer to check ur plane b4 flying.

The plane on the 1st post is not a beginner plane and 101% u will crash it on ur 1st flight. And thatz balsa plane, repairing it is a nightmare!!! Most times its unrepairable.

Go to Jethobby.com.sg look at the beginner planes section.

FPV is a big no no is SG. Dont get caught n let the authorities make an example of u.

My friend and his gang are into this. They are quite pro on this hobby as they usually play with the high-end stuff. They usually play on the empty land in Ponggol on weekend. Some are pilot themselves.

hi bro

i have a relative who is very experienced with RC helis so i intend to be learning from him + practicing with sims with.

I prefer flying nice looking planes and the reaper drone model here looks quite simple and slow with a high-glide ratio so its worth a try i guess after practice on sims.

I am also interested in FPV and i would like to know whats with the animosity regarding FPV in many RC circles here in singapore?

Is it legal if you do it within the flying field only and away from any aerodrome? Also i intend to stick with 2.4ghz so should be legal

Yeah, it looks simple and slow for the real thing but not the r/c model. Its up to you, no one can stop u from trying to fly it. But many had such painful lessons.

FPV is banned due to the equipment used. There is no where in SG where u are not within the regulation of 5km raduis of an aerodome. Look at the SG map and draw 5km of all aerodome in SG.

You want to use 2.4ghz for ur FPV??? Do you know ur controller is also using 2.4ghz??? Be careful of conflict and also how much power are you going to transmit to be able a get a clear image??? Please read up. All these are not IDA frenly.

Also do remember of CAAS aerial photography regulation.

Some things are really not meant to be played here. Why put urself at risk??? Just enjoy the hobby as it is.
