Honest with you, i used D3 for 2 rounds on 2 different cars. To me, the noise is ok. Maybe i'm used to it. Even some friends sat in my ride, also say D3 is quiet. And i like D3, coz of the grip. I dont understand why ppl keep complaining abt D3. So i would expect D5 to be better than D3. SimplyTWL 1st Gear March 16, 2012 Share March 16, 2012 Changed from GSD3 to F1D5 yesterday, hence thought of sharing the review after a day. Handling was alot lighter and easier, grip is no doubt and significantly better and best of all the sound is really really quietier than GSD3. Previous GSD3 served me really well! Grip and handling no doubt a good competitor across all UHP tires available. Only thing is, the noise level and the tendency to skid abit in multistorey carpark was constantly a headache.. After much consideration over Kumho KU31, Toyo T1R and Goodyear F1D5, made the decision over F1D5 as it comes with 3 yrs warranty :) Hope the tires will perform as well as it claims after running in. But he sad not quiet wor Paid $135 per pcs for 15". Grippy tires are meant to produce more sound by nature.
