Today during lunch i just remember what happened to Copa and me, and I wanted to share with you all but was busy until now.

 

Anyway, last nite, Copa was the tanker and I was the gunner. We were happily firing away, killing enemies and were not so bother about enemies coming to us. That was until i heard the arming of C4 on our tank. Yes, believe me, I heard the sound - two C4 actually. I screamed to ask Copa to get out of the tank. We managed to get out and I saw (I think Copa saw too) C4 on the side nearer to the back of the tank. We tried searching for the enemy but couldnt find him. I think he was killed by one of our team mate. Subsequently, when I looked at the tank, the C4s were gone.

 

So for those who have not gotten the headset, you can seriously think about getting it!!!

Great, The BF3 Beta Date Has Been Announced, Now What? Wed Sep 21, 2011 6:50 am

 

The Battlefield 3 beta date was announced yesterday and was an expected date (late September). September 29th is when the open beta starts and September 27th is when the closed beta starts. The closed beta is for those who pre-order Battlefield 3 through Origin or pre-ordered Medal of Honor. But there has been a lot of questions concerning many aspects of the beta. We've compiled verified facts on top of EA's announcements to help you better understand the Battlefield 3 beta.

 

So How Do I Gain Access To The Beta?

If you pre-order Battlefield 3 on Origin or pre-order Medal of Honor then you will get access to the beta 48 hours prior to everyone else. If you're on the PC download Origin and check the demo page (your early beta access code will be emailed to you).

 

PS3 users can check the Playstation Network Store for the beta. Your code will also be emailed to you.

 

Xbox 360 users will look in the Xbox Live Marketplace and will also receive their early access code via email. Users for all three platforms who do not qualify for the 48 hour bonus will have access to the beta in the described stores/pages on September 29th. Currently, only Swedish users have been emailed! No information on when other nations will start to receive their keys.

 

What's this Battlelog stuff I keep hearing?

Battlelog is a free service operated by EA that allows you to not only track your stats, awards, and game progress, but also allows to you socialize with friends and plan your next Battlefield 3 match!

 

I'm on a PC, what should I expect in terms of Battlefield 3's system requirements?

I haven't pre-ordered BF3 yet, will I still have early beta access though?

As long as you pre-order by September 25, 2011 you will early access to Battlefield 3's beta.

 

I want to play the beta on my PC instead of PS3/Xbox 360.

Unfortunately keys can not be transferred from platform to platform. However, the open beta will start on the 29th allowing you to access the beta from all of your gaming platforms.

 

I bought Medal of Honor via Steam, how do I get my beta access key?

To access your key, launch Steam. Once in Steam open Medal of Honor in your game library and select the "CD Key" link to find your BF3 beta key.

 

Any restrictions on playtime?

Nope! You're able to access all parts of the beta while it's available to play (September 27th - October 10th). Better yet, you can play all the way through the fifty ranks in Battlefield 3.

 

So my points will carry over to the final version?

As we expected, your points will not carry over to release day (October 25, 2011). Everyone's stats will be reset, so that upon release date, no one has a leg up on other players.

Zh1nt0 (head community manager for Battlefield 3) sat down with the German Battlefield community to discuss questions concerning the beta. A lot of valuable information was revealed during the conversation. You can read all of it below.

 

Battlefield 3 Beta:

 

The beta will not start at midnight or 00:00 GMT

The download size will be 2 - 3gb

Those who had the alpha must download the beta client, the alpha client can not be updated.

No game rank limit during beta (go all the way to 50!)

Pre-load information coming soon

The beta was not delayed

 

 

Battlefield 3 General:

 

The netcode is completely new and rewritten

Players can not join a squad if their team is full (to prevent Battlelog groups from getting split)

Vehicles will begin to heal themselves after 10 - 15 seconds (this is a server setting)

Vehicles will only begin to regenerate if their health is under 75%

Unlocks are class restrictive, can't put a sniper scope on a support gun

Operation Metro has been better balanced

Two knife animations (behind and on the ground)

A knife attack on your player can not be countered

Throwing a grenade will still prompt enemy players to yell (Bad Company 2 similar)

Hand grenades can not be held to make the detonation time quicker (known as cooking)

You can join a server that a friend is on via Origin

Friendly Fire is set to "on" by default. It can be turned off in the server settings

Caspian Border is not the biggest map

Jets do not have bombs (wtf?)

If you are kicked from a server, Battlelog will prompt you with the reason (ping, server settings, or server admin reasoning)

A ranked server can be turned into an unranked server (for practice, etc.)

No weather or time change during a multiplayer game

e-sports are the focus of Battlefield 3

No word on Battlerecorder/Game recorder

 

 

Misc. Battlefield 3 Information:

 

You can use three screens with the game

Next 1 - 3 weeks will bring more information about maps

Battlelog application for iPhone/iOS (free). No word on Android.

Battlelog is updated separately to allow game updating to be a bit more flawless

Mod tools are still a possibility

Two nVidia GTX 580's can run the game on ultra

then I rejoined the raping game with some public players. went up to the front line again. then I went to tracer dart the enemies. only managed to dart 1, then boh dart ammo liao.

 

too bad the team was too eager to fire, otherwise couldn't imagine if that darted enemy sees a chasing RPG even though he tried to run away.

Juz to check with you bros. When i use my shotgun can i know what star is stated on the weapon example, if u use a M16 & kill me if u are 6 gold star it will show up at my kill cam. Want to know if Plat guns got show any stars beside it curious about this.

actually I was abt to disarm liao, I think the disarming bar left few % only, was hoping that u knife me instead of firing. then swee swee, died in glory.

 

next time I will check for you if we r on the opposite team.
