Physically check the oil quality. Pull out the dip stick and use ur finger to feel the oil. Is the colour ok??? Viscoscity ok??? Any major change in colour other than black???

If all seems ok, then shouldnt be a problem.

The 1.1 litre engine in your Pica is gentle on oil.

It doesn't have a turbo or twin cam.

Anyway 300 km doing 110 kmh on NSH is gentle

on the engine too.

The 4 hour trip is perfect for engine cleaning

and just nice to dump the old oil in KL.

:D

Absolutely no problem. Nothing will happen at all.

10,000KM is simply just a guide line. Its not some rule written in stone.

In fact 10K is considered short because in US people use 10K miles, thats 16,000KM to us.

VW recommend to change at 15K.

BMW at 25K :D

Wah 10yrs!! Confirm the sludge built up is going to be horrible......

OK, actually its not going to blow engine or anything if you didn't change oil. Only a few things will happen.

1. Sluggish acceleration.

2. Sludge built up

3. High engine wear

But as long as there is oil, engine will not seize and blow.

OK, that one is not exactly recommended for SG due to short drives and mainly start-stop nature.

But if you are living in US or Europe where highway drive is part of routine, 15-25K is not an issue at all.

Having said that, longer intervals has sometimes got to do with marketing rather than technical reasons. Cause having short intervals can be perceived as high maintenance or harder to maintain.

If you check out BMW forums, most people do not follow the 25K rule. Enthusiasts will change oil more frequently while others may drag longer.

However, take note of transmission esp. those using so-called life time oil. Its for marketing purpose. There is no such thing as life time oil and your transmission will give up shortly after 100K miles..... Big problem with BMW trans back then till BMW scrap their life time thingy.

No problem. I think you hit 20k also no problem. It's like for human 1 day eat 1 meal also no problem one, but 3 meals will be ideal.

Workshops of course will want you to change as frequent as possible. Every 5K even better. Every 1K also can!! Which workshop will stop you?? [rolleyes]

No problem one. Regular maintenance is a must, +/- few k kilos for servicing doesn't really matters... I always go 150 on nsh to clear carbon for my pica b4 servicing.
